Cast on Freeze is a Meta gem. "Meta" in the sense that you can add other skills into the support section and not only other supports.
I feel like it's clear what as another class means. All classes have their own default skills and passives most associated with them.

I mean I am trying to plan it and come up with a vision, but looking at it, it seems like to get to another class passives you have to take like 15 levels of +stat/semi-useless stuff to even get there
Ah that makes sense. I saw that the build got nerfed so way less comets fall down from Cast on Freeze, if I have a second copy of comet on a normal keybind, and use it on CD, would less comets fall from CoF because of some limit?
then you might need a different plan. you cant do everything in poe1 but you gotta hell of a lot more choice than D4 skill twig of more damage or more damage
No the 2 comet skills do not affect each other. Just plan another skill for clearing white mobs.

i do'nt really see why it wouldn't work. I go very close to warrior start for example. So you could easily play a warrior version of my build instead. My ascendancy doesn't give me anything specific to make build work, it's just generic damage and clear

either you put it on a skill to apply exposure specifically (which takes brain power/cast time), or you use one of the support gems which... takes the slot of a support gem

Imagine if your recharge was a car that drives 100 per second and it needs to get a 100 for ES to start recharging.
So now if you will increase the recharge speed by lets say 50%, it will reach 100 in 100/(100 * (1 + 50%) ) = 100/150 = 0.66 seconds.
Which means your ES recharge will start after 0.66 seconds

Is this a bug or intended to not work? Pain offering counts as a minion, when trying to put the minion support gem Last Gasp into Pain offering skill gen, it won't allow it? It does say support skills that create persistent minions so maybe that's it.

Mana regen is how much you passively regen, and mana recovery is total of how much you recover via any means, so regen, recoup, leech ( maybe even flasks not sure )

that's not entirely true. if you have 1-50 phys and 1-150 lightning that's the same as 1-200 phys for e.g. galvanic shot (in fact probably better to have 1-150 lightning)

yeah like my frostbomb has 0.5s cast time, infinite range, is very easy to throw on boss every 8 seconds. In reality? I probalby have like 50% uptime only.
hey, so is there any way to increase the rate that Supercharged Slam charges its stages?
I've tried testing with attack speed via support gems (comparing heavy swing vs martial tempo), and getting SKILL speed in the passive tree, but nothing seems to increase the actual charging time
I got to the 95% overall cold exposure and still sitting at 45 cold pen. I guess if I am to play it around skill and inflicting cold exposure, then I can drop the pen even lower, since it basically doesn't do anything?

faster attack speed / skill speed just seems to make me start and end charging faster, but it doesn't increase the rate at which i charge stages

- Mana tempest is less reliable since it doesn't have 100% uptime
- Gain as happens before increases so if you have increase physical damage it will scale the 35% more damage from brutality and not the extra lightning damage

Evasion rating is a chance to straight up negate damage from a hit. Acrobatics is good if you can get the evasion rating high enough that the downside doesn’t cripple your % rate.

So.. evasion is great until it isn’t. Be happy when it dodges big slams, be wary that you can never rely on it.

Alright, so my current situation is 45% cold pen and 35% exposure (Yes, now I got the number correctly). I can also get 12% extra pen in the immediate vicinity for two skill points, but I don't think that's gonna be worth it tbh.

Gotcha. I wonder if MoM+demon form and just going with the 10 stack max and out-liferegening that with vitality and liferegen from tree will be strong? +4 to levels and 160% spell damage is a LOT still, as well as the castspeed and the better dash

Those armors will get most use from unreleased classes, druid and templar. But you can use them on warriors and witches with some node travel.

I got a question regarding the magnitute. Specifically the magnitude of a chill effect. So in the chill effect description it says that the max slow it can give is 50%. However the magnitude says it's that it's a value the buff/debuff applies. So can I then go over 50% slow by increasing the magnitude of chill or what? What does increasing the magnitude for it do exactly?

i use minion pact support for bonestorm
and cast on minion death profane pact to generate power charges
anyone seen any builds where you are a stormweaver but just go and build in e.g. monk fully

Yo, what would you pair fireball with? I'm a fire sorc. 1st I put scattershot. Since this fireball transforms into several new projectiles when it touches anything and launch again, now it's tripled. What else would fit this to make it even more insane?
so just grab a monk build that paths to sorc side (i'm sure there are some?), and run it as a sorc
(unless there are ascendancy points that are super crucial)

why not - arent most/some of monk dmg skills elemental? so you get a ton of e.g. cold/electricity dmg passives from sorc but use them with the monk elemental stuff

The tooltip there is for the chill effect only. There's no specific slow % number.

Usually people do that if they want to play some off meta build , or if the interaction between passive points on one side of the tree with their ascendancy is worth the payoff

And I increase monk dmg with + to cold instead of their hit stuff, and then maybe go only for a few things there. E.g. stuff like this from sorc can increase monk damage just as much as the monk passives

i'm not familiar with the monk tree exactly , but to my understanding the staff nodes are pretty busted

Jagged ground work with totem even tho the slam fromt he totem itself proc 100% a jagged ground because the 50% form the gem jagged gorund support will provide that 50% form aoe cmg so u got 50% to double proc jagged ground.

Yes, but the problem is that 1) I'm running full damage build. So extra safety won't be pointless. 2) I don't actually know how much extra magnitude do I need to apply 20-30% slow.

The upside with firewall is it buffs your projectiles kinda alot thats why we use it
and fortress makes placing it easyier

i dont even use my main weapon skill. i just spam fireball and have my offhand for a free skeleton spawn.

My "Main attack" is flamewall to get rageing spirt, i use to offerings and my arsonist attack thru the flamewall. I have one cleric. My defense is recoup, MoM and Block

I've been self casting comet til my build comes online and it melts stuff. I've socketed it twice. Once for bosses (Spell Echo + Conc + Cold Pen) and once for trash (Spell Cascade + Unleash + Ambush). Been working out really well.

The first order while leveling is get enough dmg to kill, then work on res and lfie
i assume you are a sorc ? look for a 2h staff or a wand that gives you spell level for the spell you are useing thats huge
On your other gear just look for Life, and res until you are a bit higher in level
What was nerfed: people were using Comet in a Cast on X gem to bypass the cast time and spam a bunch of them, so they added a cast time mod to the spell so that it required more energy to generate. They also added monster power in the equation for energy generation to balance out triggers on monsters and bosses

i dont find it very good, maybe with a infernal armey build but doubt it. its a focus and not a shield btw early it could be nice if you minions die, but later just go for a shield that gives you alot of resi and block

If you find something like that throw on a argumentation orb and a regal and have a nice weapon if you like your 3 rolls on it you could consider a exalted just for the kicks of it

What does improving the quality of a skill gem do? When I hold alt, it shows for some gems, but others nothing. Does increasing the quality do nothing on those (skeletal arsonist in my example).
A lot of gem qualities seem bugged rn
They generally give some effect though, it's not common for some to have them and others to not so it's just something they need to fix

crit damage multi changed in poe2 right. so a martial weapon with "+X% crit bonus" is adding into the base crit bonus, before getting multiplied by "increased" and "more" multipliers. is that right?

like poe1 where the chest modifier "+X% to crit chance" was huge bc it added to the base chance
staff gives more gem level so its ofter better from what i know for selfcast builds
If you want to be set up for a bit I think I'd reccomend Premium Stash Tab Bundle, Premium Quad Stash Tab, and Currency Stash tab
premium tabs are necessary to sell items on the trade site
