Totally playable, sure, as long as you're willing to read tooltips. The majority of its notables work differently to the usual ascendancy, instead granting you new Minions and Commands for those Minions, but otherwise it's straightforward enough.

Just playing through act 4. I have the neversink semi-strict filter on. Finding there is way too much trash loot. Should I go to strict or very strict filter now? I am not sure if this will disadvantage me so any advice would be appreciated

Just to let you know the basic idea of customizing. 1) You create/clone a filter to start on and add edits on neversink's website. 2) Then you can sync that filter with the name you give it to your poe profile at the poe web site. Then this will show up in your filters. If you make new edits, you re-sync and it will be reflected in your fillter with that name in-game.

You don’t, you get a higher item level weapon

Most weapon-related skills require a higher item level weapon to get more sockets, I think the only ones that don’t are talisman skills (bear, wolf, wyvern basic attack) which get more sockets as your character levels up

Specifically, Default Attacks scale up on their own, inherent skills on items that specify a level do not.

The Talisman skills are effectively the Talisman's Default Attacks, so they scale with the player, but most caster items will have a specific level on them, which also determines their requirements.

Hit F1 and check your bottleneck. Possibly rebuilding shaders which impacts performance until its finished. But they very much improved CPU performance in 0.4.

You don't fix it, the shaders rebuild as you play and it eventually goes away once the cache is built.

The levels don't matter as much as the stats on gear.

Item level just determines the tier of affix that can roll, and the level requirement depends on the base type and affixes on the item. In general, for armour, pick the stuff that has the most Life and Resistances, Movement Speed on Boots, and the highest damage and skill level on weapons.

The most dangerous elements of Viper Napuatzi are Physical Hits that Poison. However, the fight is perfectly doable at 0% Chaos (I've done it about 40 times in the campaign at this point) as long as you can dodge the spears during the phase where she goes invulnerable.

there are leveling builds and endgame builds, spiral volley is great in the endgame, it doesn't mean it is in the campaign, so just use one of the known leveling builds

When you spend rage as the bear you should generate endurance charges and charge regulation should give you bonuses based on them.

Each has advantages, just depends on how well you make each build

None of it exists in a vacuum. They're defensive layers and it depends on the build you're running. My Druid is pure armor with a lot of investment in armor applies to elemental hits. But I also have regen, defensive nodes from my ascendancy, and of course capped resists and plenty of life, which are top priority for any build.

I've done pure armour druid and also hybrid eva/es wolf/bear. Built up enough, each build can be successful. Mid tier or crummy attempts means trash builds

That seems like a lot for strict. It will probably lessen as you progress. His filters remove more and more as you make it farther because you become more choosy and less desperate for gear as you go.

"Important" is relative to time. You can choose to pickup every single item on that screen. 99% chance that screen will be trash vendor tier gear. You might get about 20k gold from selling it all to vendors. Just a guess. So you have to weigh that against how much time it takes you to collect all the stuff, portal to town, sell it all while viewing each to see if they're worthwhile for something else. Time is money, gotta decide what your time is worth for you.

Both are fine. There are several viable Druid builds.

Plant Druid has been super popular.

But it all depends what you're doing with it. Even on my wolf I have a cast on elemental ailment setup for casting thunderstorm to shock enemies.

You should probably have an idea of the build you want to do.

If you try to wing it you might hit a wall.

Finding interactions between skills and how to take advantage of them is pretty important.

It depends on the build, and it depends on the stats on the fire staff. Like what else are you using along with firebolt?

Most of the time skills provided by weapons are for utility or just getting started.

I use a talisman because it enables me to use transformation skills. There are plenty of caster builds for Druid that use a staff or wand.

Thank you. I tried to customise. I switched off every weapon type apart from talismans and sceptre. I also turned off every gear piece apart from those that have armour. My build only uses those things. But all that stuff still dropped after changing it regardless

yeah looks good, it starts with spark and orb of storm until you can get accelerated growth and thunder storm, which are the things that make plants powerful

by the way you can take mana remnant instead, losing a defense mechanic but it helps with mana a lot if that's what you want

Some stuff starts out weaker but as you unlock ascendancy passives, new skills/supports, notables, gear and Uniques, and so on, it becomes significantly better.

campaign and endgame are 2 completely different environments, your build can be absolutely broken in the campaign and weak in the endgame and vice versa

essence drain for example is insane in the campaign, mediocre in the endgame, a mana stacking comet build is useless in the campaign, insane in the endgame

Pieces of builds come into place at different times. Or one out of date item can hold you back. My damage was really dropping off in the campaign for my Wolf Druid and then I crafted a much better weapon and started crushing.

I'm using the wolf druid build and am in early to mid endgame, and I chose the blood magic passive skill where I have no mana and skill mana costs are converted to life costs, which is fine. What my question is is that I believe I might have chosen a passive skill somewhere where my life doesn't regenerate unless I press 1, and my energy shield doesn't regenerate either unless i do something, but I'm not sure what that something is. I don't like that my life and energy shield don't regnerate overtime. Does anyone know which passive skill this might be and how to fix this so that they regenerate? I'm not sure if it's actually a passive skill I chose or it's something else.

Leagues are like timed "servers", more like modes, that come with new exclusive content and require you to start a new character each league to participate in them. It's highly recommended to play leagues since that's where the majority of people play.

About if it's a good time to start, the season is pretty much halfway through, but as a new player this will hardly affect you.

First you need to know that picking a class does not shoehorn you into specific play styles, in Poe and poe2 your class only determines the starting point on the skill tree and your available ascendancy (essentially sub classes) choice. Every class can use all items and skills.

That said, naturally some will perform better and some worse and this pretty much changes with each leauge due to balance changes, new stuff like items, skills, support gems etc.

You can either look up tierlists of the classes online or you just pick whatever seems interesting to you. It might not end up being a top meta choice but imo the most important thing is to have fun and not chase the meta. Whichever one you end up picking, there are viable builds for all of them.

You can also look up poeninja and check there which are the most popular.

To do so, click on the builds section, then choose the current league, Fate of the Vaal, and then press the filter button.

How much do you have? At Tavakai, you should have 60 Spirit, excluding any from items. 30 from the King in the Mists/Freythorn in Act 1, and 30 from Ignagduk/The Azak Bog in Act 3.

You should be getting Reaping Staves by Act 4, caster weapon level requirements are determined by the level of their inherent skill, so because the guide shows one with a level 20 Reap, the level requirement is set to 90. You can get lower ones than that.

Though rather than the specific base type for the Staff, the affixes on it are likely more important.

Ideally, you'd have +2 or +3 to Physical Spell Skills at this point, which would be a big boost to damage (depends on the exact skill, but for Spells it would be roughly 40%-50% more damage from a +3)

That's the effect for Ancestrally Boosted, granted by things like Fist of War or a notable on the Titan ascendancy. It can only trigger as often as the source says, and if you removed the source of Ancestrally Boosted, then it won't trigger at all.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but the preceding node could have been allocated as a weapon set passive (the line looks green, but that could just be the photo), so it's showing the subsequent node as not being selectable with regular points.

To have two different setups that automatically swap depending on the skill you use. Regular points work for both.

But weapon set points can go farther since they can be spent twice. So I've done like quarterstaff and freezing setup on one and crossbow fragmentation rounds on another, for example.

Or two crossbow setups, one focused on ammo skills and the other focused on grenades with passives that swap automatically when I use the skill.

let's start with the basics, when you do armor break you are reducing enemies resistant to physical damage, but you are dealing mostly lightning damage

That's interesting. The bosses do tumble for a bit as well, which means they are interrupted for a short time while taking damage...

Living lightning will also do basically no damage without investment in minions.

Armor break also usually can only occur with physical damage. Unless you have an ascendancy or way to make if happen orherwise.

I am playing Ranger, so don't have much for minions... I was experimenting with running Living Lightening II on three skills - Lighening Arrow, Lightening Rod and Herald of Thunder... so at any one time, I can trigger up to 24 triggers... which seem to work well against trash mobs for now

Those are basically a waste of three support gem slots. A lightning bow build should have no trouble clearing on its own.

It means that any Skills with with the Fire, Cold or Lightning Tags will have +2 added to their Limit.

For instance, Orb of Storms has a Limit of 1 by default, meaning you can only put down a single Orb of Storms, and placing another replaces the first. With that notable, you would be able to put down 3 Orbs.
