You should just be unlocking some from doing the little circle area encounters in zones. If you aren't, might be a bug. Are you close in level to the zones you're doing?

a scepter is the goto item if you are summoning. It gives you a big chunk of spirit and has buffs to allies around you and it can have minion level +1. If you don't summon you want a focus.
A shield has block chance and gives armor, it doesn't give you energy shield nor buffs for spells, which is what you want a focus for.

so generally if you need survivability you can either take a shield or a focus with mostly defensive perks. If you want more damage take a focus that ampliefies spell damage.

to append, with minion builds I usually swap the wand for the scepter and play with a high es and high res focus.

He's got 2 deadly hits, the big sword swings. Try to learn his attacks, you can kite him around the arena easily, just avoid the room aoe stuff

The directional attack is more deadly than the aoe swing, but with your low hp, both probably very deadly

I didn't play last league so the Hinekora's eye area is new to me. I made my way through and got to what appears to be Navali's body inside a green crystal tomb, and a little further back and next to that is a room with a purple door/seal blocking the entrance. Maul does whatever damage is on your weapon, mostly physical. But if you happen to get one with some fire damage also, use fire attunement, etc.

Max life and resists are the bare minimum defenses and then you layer more stuff on top. Armor protects against physical hits specifically but you can also make it apply to elemental hits. The Druid is Str/Int technically so he has armor/es nodes in his area of the tree.

Unfortunately every "class" is equally capable of being simple or complex, and most people don't tend to make "piano-y" builds, people want to make the simplest thing that does the most damage and clears content the fastest.

Usually anything that's a hybrid build is going to be more complex to play, something that utilizes the weapon swap system and splitting your skill tree.

If you wanna go absolute ham try playing Witch Hunter, grab the node that turns all of your skill points into weapon swap skill points, and try to find whatever the two most opposite but technically functional concepts are and show us something awesome

you need to find the genie w/e before you get to the gates with that woman in act2 in those caves

if your not there yet you cant if you have idk go back look for her you have to beat her in a bossfight and than you can go to the trial of the sekhemas
