Your priority on gear should always be to keep improving your life and the three elemental resistances, chaos can be ignored somewhat until late campaign/maps.

Is the 2nd option 13% overall, or13 % increased based on what glows already give

Increases on armor are local. So the flat value is probably better unless it already has a ton of armor and energy shield.

I wasted one decerate thingy, the shoes already had 8 additional atributes

And I liked them for lighting and cold resistance antribute, and when I desecrated them it took away the lightning resistance which I have the least amount already

Is there some extra way to get some poison resistance besides charms (I am now in act 3, main main spells are all cold based, and I am strugling already since apparetntly act 3 is highly resistant to ICE, and poison is being harsh on me on top)

Poison is an ailment. Do you mean poison specifically, like when your life globe turns green? Or chaos damage in general. And act 3 has nothing to do with more monsters having specific resistances, that probably just means you aren't doing enough damage.

I fear the bosses because monkey one was actually hard, 1st real hard boss for sourcerer

I mean like frost bomb inflicts exposure and there is a support gem that makes the exposure stronger. Snap can be used for damage but its better to be used to generate infusions, and then the ice darts can spend those infusions for explosions which is more damage overall.

For frast wall there are 2 support gems, one is galcier which is100% more life for Ice crystals, I can understand that one, and the another one is ICICLE which is 50% less life for ice crystals and I dont understand the point of it, I do understand the 100 more of it, but less, that one I dont so what am I missing here?

there are some skills that do stuff when ice crystal die, so depending on your setup it may be useful for them to have LESS life. But if you would rather them be stronger as a wall, you want them to have MORE life

so it's options you can do based on other interactions you are going for

Some things scale damage based on how much life your walls have. More life is more damage, but they're harder to break. Easier to break means you can stack the explosions more easily, which helps with clearing.

to my best knowledge, you can't swap to a weapon without using a skill or keybind. however it does it automatically with a skill. in a video, CaptainLance had a move skill bound to his wand, then he animation canceled the move with another button. idk

so whatever it says for armor, do a x1.2

If you're getting cold infusions, spark may be better. And if you're doing an elemental spell build then you should be using frost bomb, which gives cold infusions

If the boss is in a enclosed arena then spark can hit it multiple times

I'd probably go for frost bomb + spark + flame wall for bosses

Hey all, I’m completely new to PoE and trying to decide what class/ascendancy I want to go.

When I look up builds I see a lot about powerful/broken builds, but I’m kind of interested in what is the most fun to play. I’m not looking to optimize clearing or loot, more looking for high skill ceiling, large toolkit, and cool themes.

I like the witches themes a lot, but worried working with minions is not active enough of a playstyle for me, but I also have no clue what I’m talking about.

I also like the idea of hybridizing classes, like huntress and fire from sorc, or maybe hunter/ranger, but again, I don’t know what I’m talking about 🙂

Any recommendations on fun classes or skills is super appreciated!

and I tried witch with minions, and was exactly what you fear of, not that active, I was actually a bit bored ( I was also bored playing necromancer in diablo) , I swapped to sorcerer as I like spelss and stuff and its perfect. Its not hard at all but I cannot day dream behind keyboard as well

Too bad the bow is corrupted so you can't put quality on it and improve the damage that much more.

Also more minor but switch trade and global chat channels by typing

Okay this feels like a really dumb question but, when should I start buying things when league starting? Like when I get an exalt/chaos/div just look to spend it immediately? Should I save them til endgame? When I'm in endgame should I keep a number of trading currency in case I need to craft with it?

depends , with the new marketplace it's really easy to sell and buy stuff , you should switch your weapon often in the campaign , but I wouldn't buy a weapon at low lvls , ring,amulet maybe , maybe buy some stuff from time to time that costs 1-5 exalts , I would not buy items that are more expansive than that in the campaign

Div is the big currency , in endgame there's a saying in the poe community "currency that's in stash is not making you more powerful" something like that , if you think you can get more power from buying something , you will be faster and farm more currency

Tbh characters are kind of disposable in poe. At the end of every league they get transferred from the temporary challenge league (in this case, abyssal) into standard league. Where, for most players, they just rot. So if people are tied to names, they'll just do something like "myfunname_abyssal"

Hmm, I see. Well im not sure what would work in your build but when I used Locus early on, it was when lots of monsters were near me and they would hit it and it blew up easily and cause damage

I mostly depended on my quarterstaff strike as main attack and palm strike to get power charges to then use falling thunder to use up all the charges

It was when I got Ice strike when I really felt powerful

Oh yes, it has some aspects that are different for example you can only have 1 tempest bell out at a time (I still use over abundance to spam them quicker back to back) and some of the support gem names are different but the build is still great

There you can just click on a filter and then on the top right of the page is this "follow" button

Click that, and it will automatically be connected to your account, and show up in game
