Well, as it is a spirit skill, sometimes you deactivate them. So to activate them, you right click them in the spells menu.

Then they are active and you can play.

There have been balance and skill changes, you should read over your skills and see what they do now. Most Elemental Spells either generate or consume Infusions to greatly empower themselves, plus your passive tree may have been reset, weakening you further.

The elemental Infusion aspect is what makes Sorcerer so awkward now. Feels like they took the original power and made it conditional on having the infusion available.

Not my experience at all, with Cold-Infused Spark I was able to obliterate stuff trivially, where any of the inherent Staff/Wand skills would be way less effective.

keep in mind that the scaling of evasion and energy shield only scale off the value on item not total value, so you dont get extra speed or crit from picking nodes for example

you should remove some of those nodes at the beginning, generally people go for the notables they want and then use the extra points to path further to get more notables. not always, though.

in some cases, small nodes will be valuable enough to get or prioritize.

yeah i would say get rid of the attack damage nodes, or the crit bonus nodes if your crit is not high enough for them to be worth it. i would also remove a single small node for crit and shock chance as you're using 3 of those nodes to path further into the attribute pathing node.

245 x.25 vs 215 x.25 is a difference of 7.5% bonus damage. if it's worth more depends on how much % increased damage you already have. as you get more increased damage, making more investment into increased worth less vs multipliers like more or crit bonus damage. Also, i wonder if it's the same as in PoE 2 as it is in PoE 1, where crits have "always ignite/freeze/chill/shock. i don't think it does. but maybe.
