yeah, I think there's definitely a bug here. If you have a 1s delay, then 50% reduced delay should get you to 0.5s activation whereas 50% faster curse activation should make it activate after 0.67s
but they all seem to be additive with each other and getting you to 0.0s activation delay

you can hold alt and click keywords to read more about what things do. Generally speaking, I'd take sacred water (fountains) since it has a chance to make your run easier (you can buy stuff from the merchant with sacred water, if you find them)
above all, I'd avoid really bad afflictions, including random afflictions
a random affliction can be a run killer, but assuming this is the quest version, you can try it over and over until you succeed

Make sure you're looking for gear with life and resists, move speed on boots, and good weapons for the build you're doing. Disenchant and salvage plenty of loot for crafting currencies. Don't be afraid to use those currencies. Check vendors for gear. And don't ignore blue items. A magic item with two good mods is better than a rare with six bad ones.

I don't think any of them are "musts", depending on your definition, but the currency, premium upgrade, and gem tabs are very highly recommeneded. And once the map tab releases, that one as well

sorcery ward is terrible imo. The concentration is probably way better.
Also, make sure you're prioritizing life and resistances on gear. No other stats really matter aside from movement speed on your boots

specifically added flat damage and %increased physical damage. Those are typically the strongest. But you really want to be looking at the top of the weapon to see its damage values. Compare weapons with those rather than the mods. Some low level bows with good rolls may be way worse than a higher level base with mediocre rolls

all classes can use all skills and gear, so the real question is what skills/archetypes are fun to play? And the answer is that it depends on the person. Tho chronomancer has a skill no one else has called temporal rift, which I think is probably the most fun skill in the game. Even though it's only utility
