When you say lower physical damage. Where are you seeing it on the item? The physical damage roll up top is the important one. Any physical damage mods on the item affect that number.

its in general not super useful. But chronomancer can get it down to 3-4 second recoup which makes it quite solid as an option. Unfortunately, that side of the passive tree is way better off going ES or archmage/MoM etc usually

my first build had 110% recoup over 3 seconds, meaning i healed about a 3rd of the damage i take every second. Only issue with that build was things just 1shot you lol

Yes the damage is already better. It's already magic, so you can use an augmentation orb on it to get another stat. Attack speed is nice.

Yeah bear in mind any mods on your weapon like the flat physical on your previous staff is included in the damage numbers up top (12-24) and the other weapons damage is already 16-26 so that's already slightly better, attack speed makes it better, and you could always get lucky and hit a damage mod if you augment it. Can also use runes to improve weapon damage if you can get sockete on the weapon.

Salvage items with slots to get artificer shards until you have an artificers orb, which adds a socket.

I generally don’t pick them after having around 10K gold. In fact, I hide them in my filters. You can buy them in bulk from NPC when you need them. It’s useful if you want to identify and craft things (and throw bricks away) on the fly.

You need to complete a 2-floor trial for the second ascendency, 3-floor for 3rd and 4-floor for fourth. Every floor has 8 rooms where the last room is always a Boss. So for example, to get your second ascendency, you need to complete a total of 16 rooms and beat two bosses

I can't quite figure out the logic of what makes the 2nd and 3rd trials actually give ascendancy points, "my guess" is that you can't over-level them, and thus, its not enough to just get one that has 2 trials, but you have to get one that has two trials while its close to or equivalent to your level, and do it before you level out of it... Question: Why is the multiplayer difficulty so weirdly balanced?

Earlier I was trying to fight the 'queen of filth' with someone else.
She would jump all over the place, the whole area covered in mushrooms/poison etc. and any hit she does is a 1-hit kill (or 90% health down)
Also has a lot of health that you would run out of all your potions before she even goes down to 70% or so.

On the other hand when I try to fight her solo she does maybe 10-20% damage of my health, often nothing and she just stands still all the time, rarely doing any spells. I only used 1 potion and probably didn't even need to use it. Also killed her in like 1-2 minutes or so.
