Like, items refuse to get picked up when you left click on them? Or if you can, it'll be really unreliable, like it'll take many clicks to get it to register or you have to hold for several seconds in order to get a drag to register?

CTRL-clicking works fine. Moving items in NPC shops works fine. It's just the player inventory and the Stash.

Has happened to me twice now, both times while in the Act 2 hub.

Weirdest thing is the Disenchant menu.
I can easily pick up and drag an item from my inventory. But I can't drop it. When I let go of LMB... the item doesn't get moved, it just stays in its same slot.

Depends on your build, usually best to stick to 3 armor types so you don't have to spread your stats thinly and you get 3 different armor types to roll affixes on. Personally I'm running armor/energy shield so I build a lot of int and strength

hey the Forgemaster is bugged: He periodiclly do "lava walk mode", BUT in this mode if you hard stun him, he would bug and stay in this mode ever since, not attacking me at all, forever walking till death. I thought that increased mana regen and increased mana recovery rate is multiplicative, but I just tested it in PoE2 and this isn't the case. I wrote up a whole thing on Reddit about it, but here is the experimental part of it:

When I allocated Arcane Blossom (15% increased Mana Recovery rate) I went from 42.2 total mana recovery per second AND mana recovery per second from regen (two separate stats on character sheet) to 45.5 for both, or an increase of about 7.8%. This was sitting in town with no arcane surge (I'm a stormweaver) and only mana regen modifiers on tree, no MOM yet.

At the very least, I would expect my total mana recovery to go to 48.5 from 42.2 if I gained a 15% multiplicative modifier with no other multiplicative modifiers. I did some math with the stats that I have on my character (see Reddit post) and found that the new recovery rate (45.5) is in line with mana recovery rate being additive with mana regen rate. I am wondering if this is a bug, but it feels like an intentional change from PoE1 in the calculation where increases to mana regen and increases mana recovery are additive now instead of multiplicative. Regardless, mana recovery ought to affect other stats (e.g. leech, flask recovery, etc) as you said, I just didn't experiment with that.

I can't say what would be best, but I'd maybe try some sort of freezing ignite chronomancer or storm weaver with elemental equilibrium.

Chrono has the 20% slow passive to make enemies easier to tag with rods and make them less dangerous.

Then I'd go for a freezing skill and a bug ignite skill to use with frostfire support to consume the freeze to do a gnarly ignite. Then immediately hit them again with a cold spell. That would apply fire and lightning exposure via Ele equilibrium, which would make the ignite and your ally's lightning attacks do way more damage

Chrono also has the time freeze ability which would be kinda cool in parties

Most common way is to find/craft new stuff.
A. Find good, rare stuff (yellow items are called rare) on the ground. Unlikely but it happens.
B. Find magic items (the blue ones) on the ground, ID them, and if they have one good mod, use an augmentation orb to try to get a second good mod.
C. Find white items (normal items) on the ground and transmute them and augment them to try to get decent mods.
D. Go to the gamble vendor if you have extra gold. I highly recommend picking up every blue item you come across and vendoring them for gold. Once you unlock the hooded one npc, he'll ID all your items for free in town. ID the items first and then vendor them for gold. Or disenchant if you're running low on transmute orbs.
E. Pick up and save all items with sockets until you unlock the salvage bench. You can salvage items with sockets to get artificer shards. 10 shards make one artificer orb, which lets you add a socket to a piece of gear.

You sort of can, but it's difficult and not a guarantee. Normal items have zero mods, magic items can have 1-2, and rare items can have 3-6.

Transmutes get you to 1, augments get you to two. Those currencies are very common.

Regal orbs get you from 2 to 3,turning the item rare in the process. Those are much harder to find.

Exalted orbs are used to add on mods up to 6 and those are rarer still.

So typically you don't invest the big currencies unless the item is already really good and you want to try to make it better. But the mods you get are random and each step is a gamble, essentially

Because they wanted players to incrementally improve their build and achieve power through doing the hardest content they have available. If you could upgrade your skills by farming easier mobs, then players would be able to complete the campaign much more easily by just "overleveling" their skills and then smacking the boss that was bottlenecking them. At least more easily than you can now.

The game is hard because the devs want you to improve your knowledge and gear to progress, not just farm easy stuff for a free win.
