Win streaks have ruined eggwars, is eggwars a game where you have fun or a game where you grind meaningless statistics? Do win-streaks justify undermining gameplay and lobbying for changes which ultimately harm gameplay and fun in general?
If the playerbase is already toxic enough to resort to lobbying this will make it even more toxic and that always leads to more decline.
This will put the player under pressure similar to that of a champion because we don't have the ability to provide that atmosphere. When a player plays a champion for the first time in their life, they don't face pressure they haven't felt before, or they don't add a ranked mode or anything that distinguishes my victory from another player's victory.
Players are known to exploit anything to their advantage, whether it's bugs or litigating with developers to effectively rig the game for themselves.
Players are going to cheat for that title and players will continue lobbying for changes that undermine gameplay just to have that title.
If winning is all that makes you a champion then why bother playing solo in teams mode? it's like this playertbase wants to kill off solo players from playing teams ewntirely.
We should be able to play solo against teams and beat them within reasonable time, the items for that have been removed or crippled into obsolescence.
Competition breeds toxicity and Cubecraft has an unsustainable level of toxicity which is destroying the game and shrinking the layerbase, this change would be viable if the game were relatively new and without established squads.
The existing competitive playerbase needs to be culled, replaced with new players.
With the OG Regression being the longest lasting season since seasons started I'm afraid it's stagnating and following the same trajectory that Super Smash Mobs lead, not changing for several months and with a hyper-competitive playerbase which consumed itself in toxicity until there was no playerbase left.
