The player counts on cubecraft eggwars has dropped from 3k in 2024 to above 1k in 2025.

it wasnt 3k and it hasnt dropped that much and the drop is mostly due to bedwars

Yes it died, players became toxic and crossed the line, undermining their opponents with lobbying for suggestions which benefited themselves at the expense of gameplay.
Eggwars is not fun anymore, it's a repetitive statistics grinding gamemode.

• Punch bows got too weak to use for crowd control and sniping

• Elytra was removed from the shop

• Deployables, TNT, Leap-Feather, and Egg-Mites were crippled with cooldowns and or stack size limits.

• Netherite armor and tools were removed.

• Mite-master perk was removed from the emerald shop.

• Players cannot right-click note blocks anymore.

All of these favor pre-existing win-grinder teams at the expense of newer and more casual players.

the reason those features got removed is because the vast majority of players agreed they make the game boring and and less enjoyable to play|
you keep saying this will be good for new players and i cant see how, i have never seen a new player spam leap feather or even use them
Those features' only porpouse is to make good players fight last forever
Punch II is great if you want to kil duo map

looked into it a little bit more, the drop is entirely due to bedwars

basically adding bedwars didnt bring that many new players to the server but took players from eggwars as expected

and it seems like the mode that will prevail is bedwars

dont expect all eggwars sizes to stay around much longer

There is a reason bcz eggwars is og mode and most of them is sweat or intermediate. So who is not that good they shifts to bedwars as you will find too less sweats there.

Like old player knows the value but new players doesnt and sometimes it gets as low as 640. Solo need a lot of waiting
