Ive made a post about this issue about a month ago, where i proposed some solutions, however they all had some major flaws and in the end they were rejected. Today im coming with an alternative.
There could be a rank that allows certain people to ban cheaters. Now, it might sound a bit confusing since we already have Moderators.
The new rank / role would be limited to a single admin command: /permban , specifically to target the alt account exploiters.
The process of obtaining it would be a lot diffrient and easier compared to the Moderator role.
It could be obtained by anyone with a cubecraft level higher than 100, by an application on discord, using a ticket. Unlike the Mod, this rank wouldnt have any other responsibilities. To make sure those who obtain it will not overuse their power the punishment for doing so needs to be severe: permament unappealable ban for intentionally banning an innocent person (and the victim gets unbanned, obviously). To avoid chaos it could be first tested on a small group of people, for example 10. This way we could see if this solution has any potential without taking significant risks.
Further limitations: those who join the anti-cheat team could have a 1 hour ban command cooldown, wchich is decreased to 10 minutes after one month and could possibly be decreased further. The command could be limited to banning level 1 accounts
The role would be invisible so the cheaters can't tell who is capable of banning them.
Even further limitations can be applied such as the requirement of recording the cheater before banning them in case moderators who will watch over the anti-cheat team have any doubts. It would be advised for the anti-cheat team members to only ban those who they are absolutely sure are cheating (flying, bhop, aimbot, and other things that are impossible to be mistaken with anything else)
The main flaw of this solution is that it will add another responsibility for the Moderators - to watch over the new anti-cheat team.
