1. What are your thoughts about the game?

I think this game is a good blend between build battle and build mart. The limited block palette means you have to be creative with block usage, and having multiple rounds lets you take inspiration from other players' builds and add to your own which I think is really interesting.

I have a love-hate relationship with the bonus theme - sometimes it can be fun but sometimes it can ruin a good build. So I think it's a great idea to have it not happen every single game. Some of them really don't end up making sense at all, like I had to build a tornado sheep :(

3. Any additions to add to the mall?

the fact that you have to vote for 1 just suck, cause right now half of the build is legit offtopic or empty (eg i have gotten 2 empty build to vote for)

letting someone win with empty builds or offtopic builds just seems unfair

I agree it's annoying to vote for those types of builds, but what's the alternative? If we make voting optional, nobody will vote for anyone because they will want to win themselves. We just have to give time for people to get used to the game and these types of builds will hopefully decrease.

• Snow and snow layers have been added into nature store
• Terracotta has been added to fresh goods/market stalls with the pots
• An end store has been opened up in the basement
• Magma blocks are already in the in the aquarium store
• Cobwebs added to the sculk store in the basement and in the nature store

Yeah I didn't get it, atm you get kicked, we're making it so if you don't change your build between rounds, then it's not included in the voting at the end of that round.

Cam, I just encountered a technical glitch/bug in Buy N Build, I found that I can get any block I want into my inventory using the new "Get Block" button.

Sorry I did not take any screenshots but when I rejoin I will show that.

By the get block button, you mean the clicking the scroll wheel etc

I'm not having the issue you're seeing, the pick block button doesn't work when in creative mode to give you new blocks, you can pick block the ones you've already bought from the mall, also the button will not work in the mall as you're not in creative mode then.

So you're saying, that you can pick up any block you what, in the mall, getting more blocks than the coins you have? And also able to pick up the blocks from the build plot such as the plot ground etc?

-Get rid of the bubble elevators cause you get stuck at the top of them (it phases you into the roof majority of the time and your unable to unstick yourself) or amend the issue
-Add flight/flying to the Mall (people still have to find the blocks)
-Add options for floor modifications such as an hotbar item potentially? (indestructible floor, Remove the floor, edit floor)

potential voting options:
-Chaos mode:Inventory swap every 30 seconds
-Shopping Spree: The mall never closes
-Sabotage: small intermissions where a player can destroy 3-5 blocks of another players build before voting
-Loaded Pockets: Players start with 10 coins
-Black friday: once a player has taken an block from the mall, no other players can use it

non flowing water or lava buckets would be a nice addition too

For the elevator, is it the roof of the whole thing, top layer, or is it even on the slabs on the ground floor etc? - I'm thinking about removing the water from the top layer if that's the case, what will stop people getting stuck upstairs

if you crouch when using the upwards elevator from the basement you go super fast 💨

So, some builds will appear twice while others not even once in voting rounds

just had that happen

in the final round as where where votes are worth 2x

so one person could effectively get 4 points from me while someone else didnt even have a chance to get 1 in the prior rounds

This is intended, some rounds they doubled, it's hard to explain but they are balanced. At the end of games if I do a debug command, the command will inform me that builds have been equally seen. cc @elfin gale

It's just how voting works, but I've seen the behind the scenes and I know it makes sense

You might see the same people, but others might not, it's definitely something that you'll see, but it's not broken. It also takes into account how many people are voting, as it needs to balance that too, also if players don't change their build between rounds they aren't included in voting, so balancing is needed there too. So there will be times it looks bugged, but it's intended based on things happening throughout the game. This is also something you can't explain to the player, you'll just need to vote and move on.

OK: I have a lot of things to say about this one.

1. The placement issues with blocks.
Very often during building, I get stuck in blocks and it slows me down a lot. Blocks will also frequently disappear and need to be replaced within a second of placing them when you build quickly. Deleting blocks is also a pain as they will sometimes reappear and trap you in them, making you stuck and have to spam buttons until you can get out.

2. Limited block choices.
I cant find any skeleton skulls or any of the mob heads. There are also a few other blocks missing, but I'm sure you already know.

3. Duos?
I know this game is in early release, but I wanna mention this before it's finalized. Make a duos game-mode for this, it'll go a long way.

4. Build height.
Make the build height higher. I know this sounds crazy since you have so little time, but it needs it. The arena itself is very small, which means you need to make up for it with the amount of higher up space you have.

5. Make it more accessible to change your vote.
Once you pick something, you can't unpick it from my experience. I find myself accidentally picking a build and then looking closer to realize it's an inappropriate build or something.

6. Add an NPC in the corner for you to change the floor block.
As a Just Build main, having the /floor command is great and all, but it's simply not accessible to new users. They get confused and most of the time over half of the lobby didnt even set the floor. Take a more Hypixel approach on this one. Having the ability to change the floor in this would be incredible!

A couple of things I want to add, I LOVE the option that you get to "choose" between 2 builds instead of having multiple blocks to vote with like in Hive Just Build or Hypixel Build battle. It makes voting a lot more fair, and I think this was a great thing to add!
This game-mode is very unique. While Build Battle is fun, it's everywhere. Glad to see some innovation with new modes!

I've only played 3 rounds of this, so I may be back with some more ideas later. This is my initial viewpoint with this gamemode.

wdym? if you are fast you end up having like 7-8 minutes of just building throughout all 3 rounds
You just gotta get used to the layout of the stuff to buy, and know how to palette simple while still making it look good. by the end, you can have an inventory of 12-14 blocks which is
quite a bit for newer players.
Also the jump pads and speed boosts make it easy to get around very fast in the mall

itll only take a couple of rounds before you get used to the mall and all the blocks in it

it would be right in the middle of reg build time to double build time in a Just Build match
pretty balanced.

I think Build Battle is just one of those classic gamemodes. Theres your bedwars, skywars, build battle, some form of SG, and maybe a wave-based gamemode.

I wouldnt consider it "copying" if you just added a few small spinoffs since thats practically a baseline gamemode for every server

But, i do appreciate the unique approach. If this game pops off in the future with a separate arena, it wouldnt be a bad idea to add a simple build battle mode. Relatively simple and gives builders more options, since its already a pretty limited space.

would they just rotate and get shown on the same podium with 2 people on the podium instead? might get complicated

theres no form of replay cinema here so having a chance to get images of your builds in the end is pretty important

they created the podiums to specifically show the 3 seperate rounds, showcasing the build. While you may not specifically care about it, it is a core function of the game.

One opinion cant work without details, when you suggest something you need to go through the thought process first about how it would even be shown.
Would it just have a text that say both people got first but only one person randomly gets picked to have the main podium?
Not fighting, you just need more than "I want ties" because its just not that simple

the chances of your suggestion being implemented are much higher if you actually give ideas on how it would function

Each round they re-vote. At the end, all the points from those 3 rounds you got get added up. If you have the most by the end, you win, for 1st 2nd and 3rd.

And the last round is double points, so if you messed up in previous rounds theres still a chance for redemption

pro tip, you only need the first 2 rounds usually to get the blocks you need, 8-10 depending on if you won the previous round. the last round you should use the full 3 minutes just finishing the build unless something is REALLY important to add
If you use that strategy, you will have like 8 full minutes to build

Really fun game and I love the idea!! Just wanted to mention a few issues I've bumped into 😅

• the voting system tends to be pretty hard to figure out and the letters dissappear instantly when your put to go and vote and you can't seem to change your vote?
• I think the build period may need to be a lil longer 😅 I've never seen a fully finished build while playing. Please make it longer 😭
• there's a weird feature where you break blocks and a block instead places one above that on an adjacent side ( idk if that's an attempt to match java mechanics or ?) But just feels weird and janky and probably feels like that for the majority of ppl who play as they only rlly play bedrock

PLEASE don't AFK kick at the END of the rounds, where you see the podiums and builds
i keep taking photos and forgetting its there and then getting kicked within 10 seconds

I assume you're having the issue that in your creative menu, you have access to all blocks. Same with @fallow pilot. You shouldn't be getting all blocks in the creative menu, we're trying to track down the issue, sadly we don't have any reproduction steps atm.

What if we added a Secret Vendor in Buy 'N Build?

Sometimes, a special merchant would appear with unique items to help players build faster or make their designs more impressive. For example, a Quick Copy tool to duplicate small parts of a build, a Time Boost for extra seconds before the timer ends, a Magic Palette offering well-matched block colors, or Visual Effects like sparks or smoke to bring builds to life.

This would make the game more dynamic and let players customize their creations even more :)..

It's original and you would be the first server to do that.

I also found a new bug yesterday in my live, im mentioning the live because the proof is there.
Blocks will disappear on your plot after each voting round. It is a really bad bug and at the end when podiums show, random blocks will be missing from your plot.

Me and my friend played one round and already got bored lmao maybe this game isnt for most people who dont build a lot

I would rather a Build’And’Buy style game from MCC because it will actually be more competitive than the one rn (imo)

I think this game has a lot of kinks, but it's the best build battle I've played in my opinion, I think the main problem I have is good builders will memorize the spots and where to get specific items and blocks, so maybe you should add more maps, and with how stuffs set up, redstone is useless other than looks, I think it would be cool to be able to make a redstone contraption.

Fix the breaking (It keeps placing blocks in the air sometimes when I'm breaking blocks
Twist idea:Get put into survival mode instead and have to mine items instead of mining it (the mall will always be open)
Also please don't auto use items on mobile the amount of time I wasted accidentally getting an item after clicking the refund button before realizing it auto uses it is insane

Idea:Gives more coins to people who scored either highly or minimal points (Either allow for better builds near the top or allow some people to get a wider palette)
