They did that because its more mobile friendly and they didnt wanna screw with their already existing eggwars fan base by making a game with a time limit.

Also Hypixel’s bedwars is based off of eggwars to begin with so they are really just getting back at them for theft of success.

Speaking of theft of success Hive announced bedwars 6 months in advance and cc wanted to steal their hype which worked out really well despite ccs bedwars being of lower quality due to only being worked on for less time and hives being more of an update to their existing treasure wars as opposed to a new game.

Their are significant differences such as being harder to rush, collect resources and the store is much more limited and of course the group generator makes it more difficult to solo everything and increases value or well everything.
