It is way to easy to be put in different regions when matchmaking, cc should prioritise better ping games than faster games, this would make the quality of the games so much nicer, as each game i play there are tons of people from other regions and it makes the games so annoying to play. I would much rather wait slightly longer for a game with only lower ping people than immediately be put in a game full of 300ms+ people.
As for people who have no region where they have low ping, cc should just put them wherever their ping is best.

my whole party of eu players just got put into an asia skywars game
this shouldnt happen so easily
you can get into other regions so easily and it makes the games so sluggish and annoying
