Questions about FFA

OK, so, for context, I have just spent the last ten minutes straight joining and rejoining FFA. I probably seen Tropics, Savanna, Mayan, Biomes, Kingdom, and Ancient over a hundred times. But see, in those ten minutes, I have not seen Halls, Gift Factory, Canals or Sanctuary ONCE, and I'm about ready to gnaw on my own controller out of sheer rage.

So, this lead me to have a few questions, if you people would be so kind to answer them;

1. How does the map rotation work? How long does it take to rotate?
2. What does "X amount of players waiting" mean, and does it have anything to do with whether or not a map is accepting players?
3. Do I have to get Battle Rank to access any maps?
4. WHY DO I KEEP GETTING SENT TO MAYAN OMFG

1. I dont know how it work cuz im not staff but its automated system.
2. "X amount of players waiting" is number of player in your region which joining that map (it can be many server but same map combine)

4. There are 2 factors: no new server is opened at the moment or low player count in your region. You may need to wait map to restart so you can join another

Wait, before you leave, does "X amount if players waiting" correlate at all with wether or not a map is open? Like does zero players waiting mean it is effectively inactive?
And by 3, I meant are there any maps which I can only access with rank?

If it show zero player waiting that mean u can join that map but there is no player there
3. You need to buy rank to access every map, but you may not access it when it offline, or it may redirect you to different region

So I can still queue into any map by chance without rank? Or is stuff like Halls locked behind a paywall?
