Egg wars when it comes to protecting the egg Is seriously frustrating.

No matter what you have, with a decent pickaxe you can melt through anything, whether that be ancient debris or obsidian.

This is seriously frustrating for players as it gives them a sense of hopelessness.

But fear not! I have a solution. Adding water buckets to cubecraft. Now of course there would need to be some limitations, and I'm happy to hear how we can make this idea work!

Water would add such a great layer of protection and would add a new level of challenge to breaking the defences surrounding the egg. Most Bedwars maps have this feature, why should eggwars be left out?

This rendition would be great to expand the artillery in Eggwars. I do sometimes feel a sense of weakness in egg defences. But this bucket of egg haven would be the solution. It will prevail all defences slowing down the Netherite Pickaxe with efficiency VII considerably. Meaning in those tense endgame battles a sense of safety, but something balanced and counter-able, placing blocks or picking up the source blocks makes it a fair addition to the universe of Egg wars. Great suggestion!

Yes I think it would add a whole new layer of strategy, as players would have to first get rid of the source block (which really wouldn't be difficult to do)

But the water would prevent a very cheap silent egg breaking.

your idea is most intriguing, yet I worry of the many ways water can become and increasing nuisance for campers, I can foresee how a couple water buckets can flood entire islands, and make games unnecessarily long, I vote against this

Perhaps that water wouldn't spread? Wherever you placed it , it would cover just that block?

We could also make it go for say... 1 emerald per pucket? So it wouldn't be too difficult to get but also not too easy.

Yeah I’m not sure how you would be able to limit the spread without making it useless, and 1 emerald would be fitting, but I personally still disagree with adding it

Whenever a new idea is pitched In here I always see people saying "it'll make games too long" or "Campers will use it"

Why are we using one demographic to dictate what goes into the game and what doesn't?

This idea would be great for casual players, sweats and all!

So I really don't understand this comment, you have said 'Eggs are made to be broken' but this adds no value to the suggestion.

Eggs are made to be broken, so why is obsidian in the game? While yes to finish a game they must be broken, but to win you need to protect it adequately. But right now defences stop with Obsidian which is costly but rubbish against items like the Netherite Pickaxes.

What about you could only place one water bucket down per team, per game. This would stop spamming or misuse.

Let's not use one small demographic to dictate whats gonna be added.

Your logic is like saying... Well we can't allow guns in our country because SOME will do bad with it.

In most of my games I never protect the egg and still win the game. Adding water doesn’t stop people from destroying it. All I need to do is to block myself in debris and the egg is gone. Water will only used by campers

I always just buy 64 blocks and a pickaxe and rush the team closest to me

And if I eliminated the first team then I get armor and sword and continue rushing

So this is a long term suggestion, nothing to do with stopping people rushing you.

I have over 1000 wins in cubecraft and the way your playing sounds like hell to me.

For an experienced player like you I would agree, that yea. It would only add 5ish seconds of protection.

I'll say this again though, the main demographic is pocket edition players, who wouldn't get through it in 5ish seconds.

And actually 5 seconds or so can make a world of difference

Could be the difference between you being stopped and their egg going

Basically you have said, this wouldnt work for me, it would stop me getting someones egg and thats why you dont like it. So I get seasoned pros wouldnt find it to make a difference, but for those who are new or are lesser at the game it could be a great implementation.

This happened last time with my revival suggestion, People who play like how you are playing :

"Grabbing 64 blocks and rushing"

Didn't like it. I hate people saying "oh well we don't like it so everyone wont" when in reality 90% would like it,

It just looks like everyone doesn't like it because only the good players respond on here, casual players don't have representatives here.

most of my games go fast enough that i can leave the egg open and they wont get it

i dont think water would be a good addition cuz it significantly reduces mining speed and makes it much easier to underbase camp
