probably because people can build a large tower, put a waterfall above their egg, so you cant mine the defenses dues to water mining slowness anymore

I like the idea, but it should only be made for clutching. So if you place the water, it doesn't spread, and it remains as only one block. That would fix the problem which Luca mentioned above.

To engage with the problem of skybasing, it is against the rules so at first most people aren't gonna do it anyways. For the part that didn't read the rules, they are gonna build up, wait till someone is high up and jump back down and clutch with a water bucket. I think this just makes the game more intense. Yeah, for people who rush and only want to finish the game as fast as possible, they're gonna hate it, sure. As I said, most people aren't gonna buy it anyway, if it has the right price and ability. At the end, it is like every other update, some people are gonna love it, some are gonna hate it. 😮‍💨

also Letters aren't that good to clutch if you don't know how to do it. I think more people can perform a water clutch than a ladder clutch.

i dont see the need in water bucket. the only time i feel like it is needed is when you are doing sky base or you get launched very high up by tnt. but having water would just defeat the purpose of tnt in long games. having prot armor already saves you from fall damage so there isnt much of a need to use a water bucket to clutch

people can also just get tons of gold very quick so if the water bucket is 15 gold it will still be able to be bought a lot and spammed on egg defense
