#Remove Slow Fall from BlockWars

Unlike all the other boosts players can pick up for their team in BlockWars, Slow Fall acts as a major team detriment. It would be significantly better if it actually applied to the enemy team. Here are three reasons why:

  1. It lets your enemies freely combo you. One of the worst situations when fighting someone is being stuck above them while still in reach or taking longer than them to reach the ground after taking a hit. Having Slow Fall essentially makes you a vulnerable floating piñata.
  2. It dooms you in combat high up in the air or near a ledge where you're susceptible to getting knocked into the void (ie if you're climbing up to break the cubes on Destroy the Cube). The most effective way to combat being knocked off is landing and being able to change your directional momentum. When stuck floating, you can't do anything to significantly counter it.
  3. It makes you slower. Slow to land = can't jump as frequently = lower overall speed. If trying to climb something, you have to wait extra long to reach the ground before you can jump again.

Overall, you become much less versatile and your movement becomes limited and predictable. Options like jump critting become easy setups to your own demise. In my personal experience, I always feel bad when I'm fighting someone and their team activates Slow Fall to their doom, and it's frustrating if an unexpected Slow Fall from my team causes my own death. I think it would be best removed, turned into an enemy team debuff (ie slowness), or replaced with an effect that has more pros than cons. Feel free to discuss or explain why if you disagree 🙂
