If they have more gamemodes less people will be in each individual game mode. Cubecraft needs all game modes to fill on every region at every time of day. As such they can only have limited game modes, (add trios would mean that something else would have to be removed).
It also likely it will have a very similar gamestyle to Teams of 4.
