Add ender pearls to normal mode in skywars

Im on nearly 3 different leaderboards for skywars and think that ender pearls should be added to normal mode, and maybe even basic. Pearls create the game much more fun and can allow newer players to get away from being third partied etc. Not sure why ender pearls would only be considered an overpowered item, especially in a gamemode like skywars where you can be easily knocked off. I think that 2-3 pearls per mid every game would be a good number and balance for this to avoid people stacking them and longing the game out

I'd actually prefer if they're removed altogether from all modes. Or rework them to always behave like the cursed pearl that leaves you with half a heart when you land.

Dealing with players who just stockpile pearls and run away is a massive pain to deal with and needs to be dealt with.

Every single experience ive had in op with people using pearls and stuff has made it overall more fun

I don't particularly mind people using pearls a couple times. My issue is when people are able to acquire enough to avoid fighting altogether and then they just run the whole time

It is like that in OP. Once they start spawning in, you can get multiple stacks in not much time. Maybe it's different when I'm playing because I pretty much only do sky wars mega but it's a problem there

99% of most people’s games never get to the first restock

so restocks aren’t really relevant

but they could just alter it for megas

I think you're maybe overemphasizing their impact, but I also never do solos so maybe it would different for that game mode

That's cool and all, I'm just saying it's not like doing that stuff requires "master strategy brain" or anything so much as it requires good reflexes and decent aim

those are only the “plays” i have clipped

pearls also helpful for someone sat at their island with a bow just waiting to knock you off

I'm not disputing that it adds more options and interesting plays to a given match. I'm just not on board with the narrative that pearls are a catalyst for some huge paradigm shift or that you have to be big brained to make effective use of them

from over 10k games of skywars i can say with confidence, that no matter the skill level, pearls make the game more; fun, competitive and three-dimensional. Which is why i think they should be added to the most popular and commonly played mode (normal).
