-armour is a bit too good, id go back to prot 4 leather - chain - iron - diamond. having diamond armour where you wouldve had leather is too op

-should have a couple bow options of power anmd punch along with more arrows

I personally dislike the “No regen perk” as it isn’t really beneficial for anyone. This is due to it being applied to everyone including yourself and your team. Buying it should at least make yourself be exempt or else it’s pretty much just pointless.

I love the new update, but I think that the perk shop could do with a few improvements. Namely making the generator overclocks a bit longer. But also adding more of them as time goes on.

Really good update! But I think also that undo the most recent purchase should be brought back, and I also realized that players can kill you as soon as you have respawned. So I think that the immunity for some seconds after respawning should be brought back. Not sure if this is thing in Bedrock since I play Java only.

**Dislike **- I dislike the armour, i think leather and chainmail should certainly come back as fights are very long and op at the start of games. Bows need to be enchanted aswell as theyre super underpowered.
Added back - 40 Diamond Pickaxe was a staple to eggwars and itd be super amazinng to have fast op pickaxes back again.
**Removed **- Ancient Debris, i prefered having obby for gold and using diamonds for gear, it feels weird spending diamonds on a egg defence.
Price tweaks - E5 diamond pickaxe should not be more expensive then the E2 Netherite pickaxe. Arrows should be a little more expensive

Really punch 2 bow can be added again. And the potion of power can remove it. Anyway, the games last as long as before. Also, as privated said, leather armor and chain armor can be added. We could easily buy these armors at the beginning of the game.

My thoughts on this update:

Positives:

Normal mode got so much better, since the price of blocks, armor, and wooden sword was changed, and tridents are no more. Golden carrots and glass returning is amazing. I also feel like hit detection in general is so much better.

Stuff that needs adjustments:

OP mode could use a few adjustments and it’ll be perfect, for example removing Netherite armor, and replacing it with leather and chain armor. I’ve mentioned in the positives that the hit detection is better but the problem is people are taking less knockback than before, I’m not a fan of it and I hope it’s fixed

First off, this update is VERY good. Congrats guys, actually one of the best updates ever.

I like the shop price changes and overall meta for the update. It's a lot more fun to play than Season 2. Only thing I could ask for is leather armour to be added back. I also agree with a lot of what @proper abyss said. doggo_smile

honestly love the update the only thing im worried about is that the death protection enchantment is permanent instead of one use. They should make it so you keep the item after 1 death not after unlimited amount of deaths

Armour should be changed for sure. I like the prot 3 but everything is so cheap and fights last for so long. It will be better if the iron armour's price gets replaced with chainmail armour. Iron armour will be for 21 gold like the current diamond and diamond will be either 40-50 gold or 15-20 dm. Its just that at the start you have a full diamond person with 10 gaps that cant die for like 10 min. Add back enchanted bows too. Add more perks and removed the totem. If you have a long fight now and somebody has a totem the amount of time of the fight would be doubled.

Bug: feather falling 4 doesnt add to the other armour. It is only for the chainmail boots.(idk if its a bug or no, but i would like more to keep it like this. 1 less spot in the hotbar will make the game more complicated since u will have to have those boots in ur inventory the whole game).

Brought back:

  • Pre-enchanted armor.

Overall I'd say the update is ok as a whole my only dislikes are auto repair being able to be put on armour and the Armour progression in op. I prefer going from leather to chain to iron to diamond then from iron to diamond to netherite

The reason is that I feel it's easy to get stacked enough to be set for the rest of the game in like a minute as there is no need to replace Armour as there is no fear in it breaking. Which to me removes the ability to out play your opponents by having multiple sets of Armour

Also what happened to discounts. For example lets say an item that costs 16 diamonds like the leap. It was first discount from 16 to 14. Next 12,11,9,8 ect. Now its kinda weird. You have to memorise all items with every lvl discount. It goes from 16 to 13 and after that I dont even know (prob 11, after that 9). Can they return back to how it was?

according to me armour is a bit too good in op mode and because the price of ancient debree is so low now so ig the diamond pick should be of 5/10 gold as it was in S1 otherwise it'd be harder and games would go longer.

This is more a server end change but adding back when you purchase an item and you have just the right amount it goes into that slot. Saves me from having to redo my inventory which is a hassle in switch

I wish they'd bring back how TNT used to work (eg make it work more like how tnt works in vanilla MC in that if you place two TNT down the first one will have a big effect on blowing the other one away). It was always a fun thing to use for blowing players up or off a bridge.. now it's quite boring to use. ALSO you used to be able to dispose of stuff using TNT now it doesn't clear away old armour, blocks etc, it doesn't affect them. Thats just annoying

EGGWARS UPDATE - My thoughts

I'm just going to talk about my thoughts about the new eggwars update. This is for bedrock and OverPowered mode only. Lets get into it.

SHOP
Blocks
-Concrete is much cheaper which is better! They might be too cheap in my opinion, especially when shop discounts are in the game. I'm used to around 20 iron for 64 blocks But 16 works fine.
-I still think glass has little to no purpose in eggwars. I saw more people use haybales then glass in eggwars(mostly because of ProfParzival). The only purpose I see is that it cannot be insta-mined by a pick. Id much prefer a block with another purpose then just that, like haybales for example as they provide a way to take less fall damage ONTOP of not being insta-mined. Some examples that come to mind are: haybales, slime, honey, cobwebs or even water/powered snow. Each of these have more mechanics then glass and would provide a more interesting experience
-Ancient Debris has a much better price. Its actually affordable whilst not being so cheep to get it immediately when a games starts.
-Obsidian is pointless with Ancient Debris in the game. The difference in cost between them and the time it takes to mine them its never worth it. Id rather spend gold on my defence so I can use the diamonds elsewhere rather then just to get a slightly better defence.
-Wall, ladder and tower builders are all fine but I hardly see them get used unless your Cheif Aaron. I could see the addition of possible stair and bridge builders but id think they also would hardly be used.

Food
-Steak has always been fine from what I remember and thats the case now
-Golden Carrots are pointless with steak in the game with a similar relationship to Ancient Debris and obsidian : why would I spend more for something thats a tiny bit better? sure the defence in price between steak and Golden Carrots is more manageable but I still find most people use stake and then spend the iron elsewhere.

-Golden apples are fine but id like a 3rd option to buy 32 Golden apples because i often find myself with 1-10 Golden apples or a stack of them. Also the position of them in the shop is weird with a golden carrot in-between them but I'm sure thats a bug and will get fixed
-"Powerful Golden apples" are fine but CHANGE THE NAME TO ENCHANTED GOLDEN APPLES PLEASE ITS WHAT ITS CALLED! I also find people in late game just eating enchanted golden apples non stop so adding a limiter on it like the totems of undying so people can only have less then 8 in their inventory would be a way to fix that.
-Milk is useless. You would only use it to get rid of slowness effects on arrows which only last a couple of seconds. On top of that, it gets rid of your effects from golden apples and strength which you would probably have that late in the game to be using slowness arrows. Instead of getting rid of it, id like a buff to the duration of slowness arrows or somehow make it so the slowness time stacks if hit multiple times. Also make it so milk doesnt get rid of positive effects when consumed, this way milk is somewhat useful as long as you dont get hit with a bow again
-Id normally say cake is useless and should be remove but the fact it acts as a placeable slab it adds a unique mechanic no other item has. due to this id say its fine
-Strength is weird. I like the idea it brings and is definitely needed to shorten fights but in late game pvp is just eating enchanted golden apples and drinking strength which is a bit much. So I think it would be best to increase the price of it so it can only be bought to be used once per fight, or use a limiter on it like the totems of undying so you can only have 1 at a time

Weapons
-Wooden swords are really weak at the moment. they dont do enough damage to the cheapest armour in the game and have an awful durability that will not last 3 full fights. Increase the sharpness or change how the armour works (see armour section)
-Stone swords ok

-Iron swords are a little cheap for my liking. By waiting like 2 seconds at the start of the game you can get an iron sword instantly, bypassing the need to buy wooden or stone. Increase the price of it to 12 or 16
-Diamond swords are fine
-Netherite swords are fine but I think it should be a little cheaper, instead of 2x the diamond swords price maybe something like 1.5 or 1.75x because spending 2 stacks of diamonds on a sword is crazy
-I love the idea of loyalty tridents. I think loyalty 3 would be better, just to shorten the time for it to come back. The only thing is that its only better then iron swords and below, which idk if thats a good or bad thing because it can be used as a secondary weapon more then a primary sword. its a little expensive for my liking, I think 48 diamonds would be better

Armour
-Theres a massive difference between the amount of hits you can take Naked and with iron armour on. For 10 iron you go from nothing to being a tank. i know this is OP mode but I think thats too far of a jump. Adding chain or leather armour would be a lot better in my opinion to have less of a jump. Here's a suggestion of how the prices should look like:
Leather - 10 iron
Chain - 40-64 gold
Iron- 20-32 diamonds
Diamond- 96-124 diamonds
Netherite- 8-12 emeralds in player perks shop
Ive decided because not only does netherite decrease damage taken, but also reduces knockback taken, I believe that it should be special upgrade within the new perks shop.

Tools
-Wooden through to iron pickaxes are fine
-The defences between diamond and netherite is too minuscule compared to their defences in price. A Efficiency 5 is 6 more diamonds then the cheapest netherite pickaxe. I think its best to get rid of the efficiency 5 diamond pick and change the price of the efficiency 2 netherite pickaxe to 16 or up its enchant level to level 4
-The Efficiency 7 netherite pick is fine as it insta-mines concrete.

-The mechanic of keeping your pickaxe after death is good, just apply it to the miners pickaxe when selecting the miners kit
Archery
-Everything is fine in this section of the shop
-Add enchants back to bow and add piecing and multishot to crossbows
-You could even add fireworks as ammo for crossbows
-I do prefer the slowness arrows to the weakness arrows, and as said before i believe it would be better if they could stack the slowness effect or just increase the duration of the effect so its more noticeable

Miscellaneous
-everything is fine id just like to see ladders move to the blocks section
Perks
-I LOVE the addition of the custom enchants! (i did suggest that last update). Both Death protection and auto repair are prefect for eggwars and really creative ideas!
-Totems are really overpowered normally, but the fact you have limited them makes them more balanced and makes the mechanic of offhand in Minecraft bedrock actually useful!
-The only suggestion i have for player perks is to add more! maybe a looting enchant to put on a weapon so they get like 10% of a players resources when they die or something like that. Otherwise the prices are perfect and the player perks are a great addition!
-Overclock and sabotage are great additions!
-The only problem i see with second hit is that its somewhat random. Id prefer if it went to a constant location, like 10 blocks in the air. but honestly this is a really creative idea- possibly the most creative idea! the fact it plays on the gimmick of the ender dragon egg is a great addition!
-double centre emeralds and no regen are great but i dont see them being used as much as the other upgrades
-slow falling is fun although useless. but the fact its fun its worth keeping. id reduce it to 1 emerald.

GENERATORS
-the only problem i have is with how emeralds spawn. They rarely spawn at mid at a random location to my knowledge. Not only does this Make it hard to find where emeralds are but also with the new game perk upgrade, I feel I'm missing out on emeralds just because I dont know if they have spawned. Adding 3 specific areas to where they could spawn and mark them with emerald blocks or just adding emerald generators back would be fix to this

MAPS
-adding the birthday map back was epic please dont get rid of it again thats a massive nostalgia kick and one of bedrock eggwars iconic maps

I remember it being 2, which is 1-2 hits extra. So you'd win trades and can run longer after someone. There is more than enough iron anyway, so they're very worth it.
I kinda just eat gaps late game, but otherwise they're very neat

Here is my feedback. Feel free to critique or ask for explanation. If I didn't mention something, I think it is in a great spot and should not be changed.

Good about the update:
-Tracker being near-free benefits healthy game time-length.
-Price changes are well liked, and help speed up the game time-length, at the expense of defensive play (which is still viable though, even with lower prices. The tradeoff to buy gear to defend oneself is not as bad, due to slower generator speeds that was adjusted from old eggwars (pre season-1)).
-Golden carrots provide a great tradeoff to steak. Higher saturation for lower total food amount is worth it for late game, while still falling to steak in earlier game.
-Perks are a good emerald sink (in theory), and allow coordinated teams to flourish with beneficial abilities that they can take advantage of, better than teams on the recieving end.

Bad about the update:
-Removed normal enchantments from middle. They diversified player choice in how they want to win the game, especially for rushers. Now, unless you play megas, the only good choice for emeralds is a totem (and no natural regeneration), and not many other perks are worth the cost, unless voice/text coordination is present.
-Diamond generators on friendly bases will be occupied more often and for longer periods of times, due to higher costs for diamond items. For team modes, this can slow down the pace of the game to a standstill.
-The addition of protection levels in OP mode, while well liked, artificially inflates game time-length. While armor swapping is good for counterplay and player choice, it benefits more defensive playstyles, which is not as fun as rushing for either party. Getting multiple late-game armor sets can be boring if players sit at their bases instead of engaging at middle.
-Prices not being the same between gamemodes complicates the ease of access of the game.

Normal mode changes I would like to see:
-Why is sharp 2 diamond sword cheaper than netherrite sword? Fights finish too quickly for the cost and durability difference to matter, plus it is better than netherrite in attack damage. Get rid of sharp two sword, if enchants do not belong in the normal gamemode anymore.
-Why is efficiency 3 diamond pickaxe cheaper than netherrite pickaxe? Defenses break too quickly for the cost and durability difference to matter, plus it is better than netherrite in mining speed. Get rid of efficiency 3 diamond pickaxe, if enchants do not belong in the normal gamemode anymore.

OP mode changes I would like to see:
-Remove some levels of protection, or add more options for armor/weapons. These options could be cheap, but unenchanted armor/weapons, or more expensive, but stronger/more durable armor/weapons. This would fix the removal of enchantments problem, and give players more choice in how they want to play the game.
-Make some of the diamond-costing armor/weapons/tools slightly cheaper, as they can inflate game time-length to an unfun amount for the acquisition of those items.

Other notes/changes:
-Obsidian is useless! It should have a cost akin to the relationship between steak/golden carrot costs (in gold).
-Glass has too little use to justify the cost. I would swap prices for concrete and glass, unless items that light fire are added in.
-Bring back haybales! Better than glass for defense, and has more utility for clutching.
-Bring back enchanting in some way, whether it be through the perk shop, or with diamonds, or with OP mode only.
-Milk is useless. Add more ways for millk to benefit from removal of potion effects.
-Add an iron sink for mid-late game. It becomes useless after ladders/blocks are bought, and could expand player choice.
-Emeralds should drop in middle more often and should be more visible, as they are too sparse and too hard to find to want to go out of one's way to collect. This would benefit farming at middle, while still taking on risk due to more valuable rewards being present in that location.
-More arrow/potion types!

It was a good way to cash out on emeralds with amounts that couldn’t be spent on discounts. Now, there aren’t enough emeralds in the game to utilize multiple perks, discounts, or both. Now its just totem and highest discount you can buy, which if you are rushing, isn’t really worth it as you never get enough diamonds in a game to purchase a strong, complete load out, only really one or two big-ticket items.

It was ass because the enchantments were random.

At least it was when I played on launch day I quit playing season 2 because of it.

It made pvp more luck based then skill based as your opponent could pull full protection on their Armour and a fire aspect and sharpness sword while you'd pull garbage enchantments. The fixed enchantments on Armour makes fights a lot more fair.

For example (let's say you and the opponent are equal in skill) in fixed enchantments you know if a guy has diamond you'd need diamond to have a fair fight. Where in random you'd have no clue weather or not you have a fair shot

Please add input-based matchmaking or a ranked/leaderboard mode in an update. It evens the playing field for everyone by ensuring people with similar control schemes play against each other and unfair matchups are not so prevalent (mobile vs console or pc, for example). This is one of the only gamemodes to have the number of players required to implement such a system without severely impacting wait times, and can overall improve the experience of the server for many players.

It might do fairly little, it was introduced at the height of covid with 50k peak. You probably need an insane amount of players to actually succesfully sustain something like it. But you'd have to ask a dev for specifics on it 🙂

I find myself playing exclusively on maps of 4 teams with a total of 16 players and with the most generators to farm emeralds from, it's just not as fun with fewer than 12 opponents to overcome especially with smaller maps and fewer generators to farm emeralds from.

There's less opportunity for sniping duels and bridging in smaller maps, for some reason players with fists deal more knockback than punch bows, i want to be able to farm more emeralds and traverse bigger maps. I once even built fortresses out of our large islands to prevent opponents from getting in easily, steep clay walls all around, that would be even more practical against leap feathers if the islands were spread further apart.

Remove the noteblocks to be right next to the spawn platform and allow players to autoclick them at unlimited speed.

If bigger maps with larger or numerous teams need more emeralds then there could be an emerald spawning upgrade for three times as much or every island could be given more generators proportional to the player counts.
