Blockwars Bedrock inventory bug

In blockwars CTF, when you shift click planks from the crafting menu into your inventory, the planks used to appear in the first available hotbar slot i.e. where the logs were. But recently, shift clicking the planks from the crafting menu has made them appear in the 9th (last) hotbar spot. I do'nt know if it's something I have done wrong but if it isn't can it be reverted to the previous mechanic?
