I’ve been playing eggwars for nearly 7 years and I’ve seen it go through many major updates and many of them have improved the game to mine and my duo partners liking. But this eggwars update has to be one of the worse we’ve ever seen, so bad that we’re contemplating moving back to BW. Firstly the overpowered gamemode doesn’t feel like overpowered anymore, with no major enchants like protection 4 and sharpness 5 and instead having to buy enchants like the team upgrades in bw. The pacing has changed making the game feel slow to start and inflated prices make it harder to get necessities such as golden apples or a decent pickaxe. Egg wars was unique for its perfect fast pacing at the start of each game and it just seems like a knockoff bedwars. The game feels more appealing to the nons as I feel that the game’s focus is on who has the better sword not who is the better player, for example my win % went from around 80-90 in the week before the update to 20-30 due to slightly less experienced players killing me quickly due to me not having a good sword and they get the first few hits, this is also the reason I play overpowered instead of normal or hardcore.

change your strategy: use less resources the first rush to start the snowball effect earlier or farm a stronger sword. play a little more to learn the kb changes.

you are just not used to the changes, before the update the OP gamemode had so many features makes you almost immortal for example notch apple and iron armor you would need to break his armor to kill him even if you are a good at pvp, the damage changes are good to fix that making it not like bedwars at end game making it a slightly strategic gamemode unlike skywars now the modes are perfect for slow pace mode and fast pace mode having both is a good option.

With most games like egg wars and sky wars they become repetitive and when we do get bored of constantly killing nons we switch it up and try to get as stacked as possible so we just go around upgrading all the generators getting the discounts and using the extra emeralds on enchants but I wish they had a more stable way of getting emeralds again

that might be partially true, but overpowered today seems closer to what normal was before the update. Everyone misses old op because you didnt die in 5 hits like you do now. I also believe that in this new update different armor sets arent balanced, for example the diamond armor kit is very cheap but it is way stronger than the iron one

yeah i saw that too i noticed it in skyblock especially mobs started dealing insane damage rn, probably that is a bug and it would fix soon or it is because it's now identical to java damage (java has slow pvp but on bedrock you could hit a lot that's why it feels a bit unfair)

cubecrafts need a strategy to win if your strategy for example getting good armor and prevent others from getting diamond work in a game so why not be rewarded for you strategy and having a fight with people who have good armor is a bad idea in general this doesn't improve your tactics or your strategy.
