A big issue with this server is the amount of people from different regions. I mostly play FFA and so many people that i fight have 150+ ping that it makes fighting them unbearable. you literally have to wait for them to take knockback while they can still deal damage to you when not even facing you because of the delay. I know its hard to impossible to control ping, but i just think that this is extremely annoying and i bet im not the only one who has these issues.

Yeah
Everytime I see a person with a million ping it takes 20 years to register my hit on them
i never have ping issues you guys are probably the ones with bad wifi
If you’re happy to share, could you let me know what country you are connecting from? (Please don’t post any more specific detail than that)
Not my fualt i live in Australia
then you are the problem
you can literally move wherever whenever
netherlands
nope. whenever i do /ping mine is 10-30 and theirs is in the 200
the other guy was
but you cant relocate the player base
and more regions would slow down queue times and most likely increase the cost of the server
they already have asian and american servers dude. always with 0 players
they all dump in the european servers
so theres no solution weve made that clear
yes there is. They have the servers already money isnt the problem.
if it was then there wouldnt be region based servers to begin with
ffa on an na server
in java obviously youll only be in eu cuz theres not enough players
im sure there will be if people actually go to their designated servers
theres like 400 players isnt there
games starting without full lobbies
nah not 400. perhaps when europe sleeps 400. normally like 800
also i dont know about no games starting without full lobbies because i play ffa
People are automatically sent to the servers closest to them when they join the network, both for bedrock and java. We then have a system that aims to have games start within 20 seconds as a target, this doesn't always happen of course, however in our experience there's a higher chance of a player leaving the server because they are waiting too long, over them leaving because of it being a little bit higher on the latency side.
As a result, that system favours trying to start games faster over sending players to games in the same region they join from, so if you play during times that are quiet in the NA region, it's likely you'll be sent over to the EU servers automatically to avoid having to wait too long for a game to start in NA. That'll dynamically change and send you over to NA when there's enough players for it.
The system does this calculation per gamemode, so this may also happen during busier times if you're playing a gamemode that's less popular in the region.
We keep an eye on this as nuch as possible and try to optimise when we can.
so how does that work with ffa? considering there are no wait times there.
