After over 10 years since its founding on 24 January 2013, Mineplex has shut down both of its servers and its website.
Mineplex's legacy is one not to be ignored. being played by many famous YouTubers over the years, however the rise of Hypixel on Java and a bug-ridden Bedrock server has caused it to go inactive.
Send your memories of the server and condolences in here. I have also made a video to pay my tribute.

I liked to watch some Mineplex java vids when I was kid, but when it comes to bedrock it was very laggy and was a victim of a small online. In my opinion they just were unable to give a good quality of gameplay to players with these lags, that's why most people prefer to play on hive instead of Mineplex

Cuz why wouldn't someone want to help a server that's dying?
I don't think they could merge. There would be disputes like what maps to keep, what gamemodes should they keep etc. Also both of them has players that may hate one of these servers, and merging them would make those players most likely leave.
Also, those servers runs on different different engines, so it's literally impossible to merge them into one working server.
