In communication through text you can't read the body language or tone of the other person so the rules of language are broken to convey more meaning at the cost of "literacy". By ending every message with a full stop you always seem to want to end the conversation (especially when it's just one word, which isn't a sentence so doesn't need a full stop anyway). @oblique vigil so I've done 10 minutes of testing on 1.14.4 and this is what I found:
The bug almost always happens when the player enters a game like Duels or Line Dash, but it only last for about 3 seconds before the nearest chunks load and the player is free to move.
The only time the bug didn't go away was in the main lobby after leaving a game of Line Dash through /hub (bungeecord25 g190h).

I feel that chunks are loading more slowly even on games that I'm not initially stuck on but I can't be sure.

Yeah, so what happens is after 5 seconds of logging in, we resend all the chunks, to correct any issues that there were with the first set of chunks.
This isn't exactly ideal, but it seems to fix the issue in most of the cases.
So just to confirm, this issue isn't happening in game anymore?

(Yes, you may see broken chunks for a couple of seconds then see them get fixed, that's intentional)

the issue has only persisted in the main lobby (not in game) and I've only seen it do that once. It's easy to fix by just changing lobbies. In all the games it does indeed resolve itself.

Awesome! That's great to hear! I think that the reason it happens in lobbies is because the world is larger and takes the client longer to process.
I believe the issue may still be a problem, however we've just sort of patched it to be less common. Let me know how you feel with the changes after the weekend 🙂
