I've got a kit of 2x8gb @2133MHz running in dual channel as well as a random 1x8gb @3000MHz stick and a random 1x4gb @2133MHz stick both sitting in the other slots

#

I'm probably gonna drop down to a 2x8gb @3000MHz kit soon, just to stop the BSODs

Preferably I would have just gotten a fresh 32GB kit but money is real tight atm

the sdram chips are used in alot of things (pc ram, phones, tablets, etc) so when a flagship phone is being launched it peaks because samsung apple etc buy up all the sdram so it goes up for everyone else

And I'm upgrading when there's a global pandemic reducing production of ram, pushing up prices

Nothing to do with phone releases or anything xd

A couple of years back there was a global issue where no-one had enough dram chips, so prices got jacked up
