HAPPY OVER 10000 MESSAGES JUYS
In defense of Deino practically every mammal has a different rig but spino can not be turned in to Deino plus Deino can easily reissued
??? that doesn't make it easy to add besides that they would have a completely different rig
but yes deinosuchus would be a cool addition regardless
^
Cool Gator
Also I know that Albertosaurus and Gorgosaurus have been suggested before. But I’d like to flesh out their differences.
Ideally if we get Albertosaurus we should be able to get Gorgosaurus as an alt skin. Ideally to follow in rex’s footsteps Albertosaurus should have one feathered skin, with both species having a scaly skin.
The biggest difference between Albertosaurus and Gorgosaurus is that Albertosaurus should be very social, whereas Gorgosaurus -alt should be more solitary. In-terms of aggression Gorgosaurus should be more aggressive due to living with other Tyrannosaurs, it should have a low tolerance to other theropods in its enclosure and immediate vicinity.
Albertosaurus should be more marginally more chill when it comes to being territorial, but still aggressive enough to have some intraspeific infighting on occasion, as is known from the fossil record from Tyrannosaurs.
If anyone has further ideas to differentiate the two beyond cosmetics and behaviour please add on.
Honestly thats a pretty good way of putting them in
Ummmm…..
No
Alberto could also get that New Mexico species as an alt so that only proves the point as why Gorgo should be an alt
Alberto doesn't have a New Mexico species
there is indeterminate new Mexico material referred to Albertosaurus
Oh right, that paper isn't out yet, right?
You can’t put any midsized tyrannosaur as an Alberto alt, it should be an albertosaurine
As in Gorgo
Besides, by the time Alberto comes out we'll probably have the two Horseshoe Canyon species published anyways
But frankly, I'd prefer scaly+feathered Alberto as skins rather than two alts
^
Some animals go great with lots of alts
Some animals are better with more skins
I’d only want Gorgo and nothing else
I would like to get feature scales on Alberto's scaly skin though
There’s two species of Albertosaurus?
It's the only theropod other than Carno known to have them
Unpublished, but there was an abstract very recently that split the dry island bonebed Albertos from the other Horseshoe Canyon Albertos as a separate species (iirc, that might not be the exact delineation but something like that)
Gorgonopsids
ye
10k messages?!
We celebrated recently
Prehistoric Kingdom 10K messages
Let's be fcking real any good looking mammal by appearance would Fit in Prehistoric Kingdom
Let's not
What do you even mean by good looking
Definetly
Look at maybe Bramatherium or Arsinoitherium for example
glyptodon
prehistoric wildlife is very unreliable
oh
Of the parameters that are set for the unconfirmed terrarium animals, Leptictidium has no chance of being added right?
iirc the terrarium mammals hinted are a triassic one and a semiacquatic one
so yes i'd say it's over, for now
A shame
After I found out about the kiosk sign Ive become a huge fan of Leptictidium
sooner or later the lepticidium master race will rise
which begs the question, are minis going to be in free updates?
I imagine so
Hyraco?
any horse good
I would love Eohippus
I would rather it or Propaleotherium as an exhibit animal idk why it would be in a terrarium
Eohippus is really tiny
Propalaeotherium would need to be that bigger species
It is interesting, because we know how tail and ears did look like
I'd love to have some of the formations we already have a bit more fleshed out
Morrison: either Diplodocus or Barosaurus (a slender giant sauropod), Camptosaurus, Stegosaurus, Allosaurus (A. jimmadesni & A. fragillus), Tanycolagreus
Huincul: Mapusaurus, Ilokelesia
Hell Creek: Pachycephalosaurus, Thescelosaurus, Anzu
Nemegt Formation: Mononykus, Therizinosaurus, Rinchenia, Alioramus
Dinosaur Park Formation: Edmontonia, Chasmosaurus, Corithosaurus, Chirostenotes, Gorgosaurus
La Brea: Aenocyon, Mammuthus columbi, Paramylodon,
Chinle: Smilosuchus, Desmatosuchus, Effigia, Postosuchus,
Stego and allo are confirmed
probably in update 17 (pachy may also be coming in that update)
stenops for stego and jimmadseni, fragillis and europaeus for allo
I'd love for Thescelosaurus to come back one day
Weird little primitive critter
That somehow lived at the end of the Cretaceous
“Somehow”
We need Deinotherium?
you've asked this almost 150 times
Bc is bizzare
Don't think I've ever heard of animal so bizarre it requires to be asked about 150 times
And what
and nothing
I doubt asking "is x animal necessary?" 150 times and then asking one more is going to change the consensus, no matter what animal
even asking it more than twice is a bit silly
Ornithomimus is on the post-ea ideas list, but that doesn't mean it is confirmed
Maybe Strutiomimus or Ornithomimus
These are all of the cenozoics/mesozoics the devs are considering post-launch
Doesn't mean any of them are 100% confirmed
it was posted a year ago so it's not even guaranteed that all of these animals are still under consideration
But it's a general idea of what the devs intend to add @low bridge
Devs can always change their minds of which animal, dino they planning to add to game
I mean it's probably already a primigenius alt
You can play pretend with an ontogey stop
^
I'd love to see Corythosaurus, Olorotitan, Shantungosaurus, Chasmosaurus in game
Where’d you find this
Titanis or any other phorusrachid
Pachy and Edmont ‘might’ come on launch.
U17 for Pachy.
Are there any mammal fans?
edmontosaurus is already in game
oh
Me
how was thescelosaurus primitive
and why is it shocking that it lived later?? there are plenty of other thescelosaurids known from a similar time
thescelosaurids as a clade are quite basal
I guess they were somewhat unchanged in shape but I still wouldn't call them outright primitive
Which mammals alike you see in game?
Deinotherium, Uintatherium, Hyaenodon, Megatherium, Daeodon, Leptictidium, Most of the australian megafauna, Thylacosmilus
Theres alot
But those ones stood out the most
Very very good picks
I'd love to see Prolibytherium, Daeodon, Stenomylus, Syndyoceras, Synthetoceras, Eremotherium, Megacerops, Aepycamelus, Climacoceras in game
Change my mind please
If forced to pick one, I'd go with some kind of terror bird.
Phorusrhacos has prestige from Prehistoric Park.
So that, definitely.
After that, Gastornis as an herbivore counterpart.
Titanis is last of last terror bird
A vegan
Well, if any animal's ripe for alts, it's Raptor Squad Jr..
Like with Fossils and Archaeology.
last large terror bird
Psilopterus was the last one but it was fairly small (like 1 meter tall)
Psilopterus (Greek for "bare wing") is an extinct genus of phorusrhacid ("terror bird") from the Middle Oligocene to possibly the Late Pleistocene of Argentina and Uruguay. Compared to other phorusrhacids, members of the genus are both relatively gracile and diminutive, and include the smallest known species of terror bird: with the head raised ...
There's also cf. Devincenzia, which also lived into the early Pleistocene
In terms of large terror birds
What the hell is Devin doing all the way in the Pleistocene
no idea lol
How they so sure from some bones
Limb fragments and 2 vertebrae
Tbh more than titanis lol
meh
i think mixotoxodon would be nice
Small herbivorous dude on pair with something like psittaco: propalaeotherium, merycoidodon or poebrotherium
Very simple starter animals
Lepictedium, Hyracotherium also
Good
Aepycamelus should be in game
Xenokeryx, Dromomeryx, Prolibytherium, Discokeryx, Sivatherium, Bramatherium also
Kyptoceras, Synthetoceras, Syndyoceras are neat enough
Please change my mind about them
what is dromomeryx
Weird Artiodactyl
all things considered that headgear is pretty tame so I don't see the appeal
I gotta agree
We definetly dont need like 5 different hoofed herbivores with odd headgear
Well
With the deer antelope body build that is
Atopodentatus
Prolibytherium will be perfect for Prehistoric Kingdom change my mind guys
Prehistoric Kingdom is truly a game that won't run of animals that can fit in it
We know
I really think acrocanthosaurus and spino needs a remodel and tlc
honestly, no.
Big crest…
Big crest spino is a different species of spino
Acro does look jank but not really in need of a remaster
Spino’s a new model in general, so why would you need a remaster there?
Acro as of new paper was chunkier and bigger, and had straight legs, whereas spino has a very weird hunchback posture while standing and walking, and the knuckle walking too,but Alas no way they would remodel which has recently been given growth models
Knuckle walking?
Aerial Dlc suggestion for Prehistoric Kingdom:
1.Teratornis
2.Pelargornis
3.Argentavis
4.Haasta Eagle
It walks quadrepedally sometimes from what I remember
In game?
Yeah
No
Acro chunkier n bigger?
Any chance we already have this in PK
It’ll like stand on them occasionally
I’m pretty sure we do
Yeah That
Any thoughs on Platybelodon?
And Spino’s not a knuckle-walker, it only uses them to eat or vocalize
Straighter legs needed,and I don't think so?
Don’t really like the Spinosaurus animations overall, especially the basking with it’s mouth open
I mean have you actually checked the Acro model ingame?
Hell Ants
How would they even
Lots of places keep ants
Yeah but you won’t be able to see them
Depends on how large the ants are
Well 8 millimeter
bobosaurus or some sort of pistosaur would be neat. Weird basal creature.
I love they are gulpshittos but they are neat
thats tiny like I though hallicigenia was small at 5 cm.
It is how you model it
Are here any Concavenator fans?
He is the best carnivore that should be added to game
I would be happy if a small pterosaur appeared as a terrarium animal
for example, Anurognathus
Pterosaurs I find are surprisingly a little underrated in terms of additions
What am i looking at
paleozoic abomination
Just looks like a whale louse
Placoderm louse
Bathornis is good addition to game? Something that lived with Hyaenodon
It would be nice to eventually get Lambeosaurus magnicristatus as an alternate species for Lambeosaurus since it’s crest has a different shape and it would be nice to have all the species within each genus in the game eventually.
Platyhystrix rugosus
Platyhystrix technically lived in the very very latest carboniferous, but is mostly a permian animal
micropachycephalosaurus a small Marginocephalia perfect for life in a box
My beloved glup shitto scrungly
A
Who’s this lil guy?
Sinoceratops?
The one and only Chinese ceratopsian goober
That was a artists mistake
The dating is not great
Though Sino almost certainly is campanian
Eh imagine still rocks
I said it was a artists mistake
Well the only inaccuracy is the time
Polar bear in Texas ah
This is a must have for me Eucladoceros and we need the skull as a decor
could work as an alternate genus
This could be a good alt genus
Sinomegaceros
ohhh lord what the fuck is that
nope im good with eucadlo
I just want a giant deer exhibit
Praemegaceros is also good
the hell were prehistoric deers on😭
Megaloceros obscurus, this one is very obscure because it often gets overshadowed the other species of Megaloceros
say that again
Cervalces Scotti/Latifrons should be good in Prehistoric Kingdom
Last one Cervalces I just want a giant deer exhibit
Oh wait you said first
Castoroides is neat addition
If I had to pick one it’s Eucladoceros
The moon creature
If you have a choice between Prolibytherium and Climacoceras which animal you will take
We already have megaloceros
Is that even a question Prolibytherium
I saw that
Sorry just had to flip it
So the video came first but there is no point anymore
I’m just saying it would be nice to have both species
The moondeer
Austroatlas lentus.
EDIT: My apologies, this is speculative evolution. I'm terribly disappointed.
a penguin?
thats spec evo
What the penguin Godzilla
Shit, my bad. Was wondering how I never heard of this. Now I'm sad.
As much I wish this was real (spec evo)
still better than glupshittosaurus tough
Still better than people thinking this was real
wtf is that
Pervatosaurus, an Onion creation
Correct and some how some people think it’s real
That's called Biting the Onion yes
It is, it’s a derived Oviraptorsaur
It is not real it was made by the onion a fake news company
Nah
Show me evidence the otherwise
smh we've got a pervatasaurus falser here
Next you're gonna tell us you don't think the moon exists
Well I believe nanotyrannus
which is a totally real and accurate news organization
but politics are banned so I wont continue further
Well I just found out the onion is a real site I just thought it was a thing that people would say The Onion told me as proof for a thing but it’s a real website
Lmfaoooo
We that was something time to actually use this forum what it was meant for Platybelodon more Miocene good for a wet lands update or DLC
What’s with that patterning?
Classic Nyx style patterning
rat🐀
I don't see why it couldn't have had such patterning
What large mammal has comparable patterning? Especially of the skin
That isn’t a whale smh
Platybelodon didnt live with sebecids
Its not paleobotany when the plants are still alive, and https://discord.com/channels/173172667623407616/1294392932740104233
-
That picture is barely countershaded in a way that matters
-
I would be very careful in comparing the body patterns of any reptile and any mammal, there's a lot going on that isn't taken into account on the surface
-
How does being from the early cretaceous justify countershading?
-
Platybelodon lived with mammalian apex predators, countershading for an animal over like 1-2t just isn't something you see in mammals, especially in environments where the predators have about the same level of color vision
Wetlands dlc will be insane if there will be ofc
Freddie Mercury ceratops is needed anyways
And Kosmoceratops
Change my mind guys
Please
Abt them
Koolasuchus cleelandi
An extinct temnospondyls from Australia that lived during the late Cretaceous. I personally believe that this species would be an interesting and unique species to parks. It was a predatory species that even preyed on small dinosaurs. I would love to see extinct amphibians be represented in this game. This amphibian would be a wonderful addition to the Australian species ingame.
This guy along with Diplocaulus and Beelzebufo are the only amphibians I really need in this game
I personally would like Prionosuchus
theres alot more I would love to see
especially early Palaeozoic species from periods such as the Devion and Carboniferous
In general the addition of Palaeozoic species would be the most exciting for me
Platybelodon wasn't that big, there are plenty of large herbivores alive today that have varying color patterns, and especially so for ones much larger than it like giraffes.
All of them have fur, while platybelodon was most likely bald
Name 1 in the same mass range as Platy, then name another mammal of any mass range with similar patterning on it’s skin. No whales.
We still don't have that large of a sample size to make such sweeping assumptions
You said there are plenty alive today
I didn't know you were being so restrictive in saying only things as large or larger than a rhino
otherwise I would include animals such as tapirs and other large hoofed mammals
Why would we include literally anything less than a ton?
I just don't see what is actually against the possibility of this happening
I mean the art isn't even THAT colorful
The fact that none of the animal's modern relatives are like that
And its not just about colors
Striking patterns are included
The colours are fine, it’s the striking countershading and stripes on a large, seemingly hairless mammal that gets me.
^
iirc, isn't most countershading just the natural way that pigments are distributed as an animal grows in development and isn't always adaptive?
I thought I heard that somewhere
If true, which I kinda doubt, it’d be worse because relatives and species of that size definitely aren’t doing that
so what size would you say that proboscideans could have had more intricate coloration?
Probably like tapir sized
I guess Grévy's zebra is larger
So probably like 500 kg upper limit
Is there any real biological limitation for this? I doubt such a thing is an impossibility instead of just being less than likely
also, asian elephants can be quite colorful
That's just areas of depigmentation
And as you can see doesn't form any "hard" patterning
How many animals do you intend to have in the official game, I mean not at launch, but at the end, with all possible DLCs? If possible, I would like to see an amount of animals comparable to that of Planet Zoo, which with all the DLCs has over 160 animals.
I think including alts, 150+ animals is probably not out of question for a total roster
Palaeoloxodon falconeri because we need more mammals and I rather have falconeri over namadicus
300 animals
Cenozoic has lot to offer for Prehistoric Kingdom
Facts
More mammals
wait I just realized
are baby falconeri babies a lot bigger proportionally speaking compared to modern elephants and their infants
Not that many
Now makes me wonder how many animals in PZ would be alts of each other
actually thats a good question
although to be fair, the adopting system in PZ is quite different from PK's
but if I had to say, definitely the flamingoes for sure
those are the only two im certain of lol
Tigers, brown bears, wolfs, leopards,
oh ye i forgor
basically anything on a subspecies level
except the leopards, they are pretty different in body shape in my opinion despite being the same species
the amur ones are a lot lankier and smaller in PZ right?
or chunkier sorry
the african ones are the lean ones
Just as much as populator and fatalis i guess
Probably PZ roster would be ,,reduced,, by 10 or 15 species
extinct genera, typically speaking anyway, species are usually a lot closer than modern genera
Knowing how animals look outside helps a lot
like for example, lions and tigers are both in panthera, and smilodon fatalis and smilodon populator are in smilodon
but typically people dont see the two smilodon species as nearly as distinct as lions and tigers
Lurdusaurus
thats definitely a huge part of it
so this would be kinda the reason that putting the PK alt system on modern animals wouldnt really work
I like it
done use Prehistoric Wildlife though
generally a bad source
Pink Elephant when?
Better not adding Elephants to game for One reason
They explode
Joke
or… both
there are so many temnospondyls and tetrapodomorphs and stuff you could pick
I need eryops as full exhibit idc
I agree
But Broiliellus is better fr
Disgusting monsters of the slop pits
NO
but they're so pettable
If you want your hand bitten off maybe
it was a joke
besides you don't know that
open air exhibit for eryops? is crazy work
No I'm fairly certain lol
One bite and you're on your way to
I can only imagine the chonkiness of it all
The only thing preventing Eryops is that it needs water to lay it’s eggs in, and I doubt the devs want to implement that mechanic for one animal.
Plans for minis changed do idk what they will do with amphibians and stuff specifically
Tho they could make like specific nesting sites where the tadpoles "develop" but it's all looped animations
And then they just poop out the babies
How many other animals gonna use it? Idk
But tbh I think they could work like nests when added
Tho you have to place them yourself
Like artificial ponds maybe
The artificial ponds doubles down as enrichment for the other amphibians inside the terrariums 🤫
They could also just speculate that the animal doesn't go through metamorphosis
theres many temnos so I think that can work
temnos dont have tadpoles
at least most of them dont. Though tiktaalik also doesn’t so I’m not sure if thats a factor for mini and not mini
you can just have them be coded to nest in water it would tricky but theres so many cool temnos I think it could be a mechanic
Udanoceratops would be an interesting eventual addition.
They can do full exhibit but without growth for it. Like how JWE3 will have lystro but no babies for it
Full exhibit animals in PK need to breed
There could be exceptions if people really wanted large free roaming amphibians
and that would likely be preferred over just making them terrarium animals
yeah yeah it'd hurt but you don't know that he would bite
Koolasuchus…
Or maybe rather than making dumb exceptions make them lay eggs like everything else?
niot nessicarily
the non breeders might be all the hybrids
but if we wanted to continue about JWE3 probably talk in #1380687758934409248
Regardless terrarium might see larger species
Big amphibians and snakes first come to mind
I don't think a lot of temnospondyls work as well as full exhibit
Eryops is probably one of the few ones
The thing is, I think people would prefer bigger amphibians like koolasuchus and eryops to be full exhibit, regardless of if they'd breed or not
Koolasuchus as full exhibit would be kinda hard
They probably didn't move a whole lot, especially on land
Unless you make it move faster and more terrestrial
But it would be a bit weird
How would they be hard?
It's possible bigger terrarium animals will follow a different approach too, plans changed
They probably moved about as much as most crocodilians
And yeah it likely would be predominantly aquatic
no
deinosuchus probably is
Not hard to put into the game, but hard to balance it out
Like these guys had very short legs (following relatives proportions), they probably just dragged themselves on the ground rather than walked normally
Like it's not really fun to look at unless they swim
You could argue the same for crocodilians, but I think overall they are more active
And you can come up with interesting terrestrial actions for them too
But what would they do in the water?
Like animals rn can't dive (and probably never will outside ambient animations)
Wonder if roster of Crocs be expanded on Quinkana, Barinasuchus, Kaprosuchus, Rhamphosuchus, Mourasuchus, Gryphosuchus, Purrusaurus
They could add more enrichment, ig we will see with u18 how they approach the 2 possible semi aquatic animals
I think they might revamp swimming/water behavior in U18
Obviously this is if they add diving, which they kinda need for Deinosuchus
Ehh I wouldn't hold my hopes too high by the way devs talked about it
Well it’s 8 years away, so we’ll see
Depends how you take this
(And mau comment a little below it)
Technically there could be a way to do it, but you probably wouldn't be able to put stuff in it other than plants I think
Also edit its terrain
Also would need a ramp
It is a lot of work for a couple of species
We will see ig
PZ had crocs without diving
Or most zoo games for that matter
For now its a couple
2 maybe 3 in ea
Its more about resources vs what you can get out it
Admittedly it could still be in devs plans without us knowing, but until its confirmed, I don't want to set my expectations too high
Realistically how many diving species this game could get. Most of them are mammals, crocs or triassic weirdos
depends on if we get fully aquatics
full aquatics would be something entirely different if they ever came
This would be in the context of semi aquatics
oh ok
I think Secodontosaurus is a possible option
pretty sure the Permian had other semi aquatic tetrapods
Estemmenosuchus and coty
isn't coty like, the heaviest paleozoic land animal btw
I thought that but idk
If it isn't jonkeria proper its another dinocephalian
Coty dwells around half a ton? I think
coty is the heaviest from the first half of the permian iirc
or like the early permian anyway
iirc it might be Tapinocephalus
could definitely be wrong but iirc thats what it was
idk basically one of my consistently pretty well researched friends recently said coty reached 1.5 tons, but didn't give any context
its not
Jonk is the largest of the group
nah Tapinocephalus is 2nd
no
Jonk is the biggest
Anteo
When Prehistoric African Mammals appear in game then i will recreate Kruger Preserve Park in Prehistoric Kingdom
Watch this
Lollll
Dynamosaurus imperiosus this is a joke Dynamsaururs is Tyrannosaurus
k
T. Mcraeensis my beloved
What I dont get is why Mcraeensis' artwork has a small bit of upperbite
Or is it something else?
why wouldn't it, Tyrannosaurus' skull (though not necessarily with soft tissue) has a bit of an overbite
I would be happy if Arthropleura was come.
Which Prehistoric Elephants u want the most
My picks are Platybelodon, Stegotetrabelodon, Palaeoloxodon
Elephant
Real
Wish that Palaeoloxodon a gentle giant be in game
Also a small pocket freshwater turtle Stupendemys be in game
Deinotherium
deinotherium, mammut and island dwarf
Moeritherium
Gastornis parisiensis
A large flightless bird from the mid-Paleocene to mid-Eocene. These were once considered the apex predators of there envrionment, although it is now believed that they were herbivorous. I suggest Gastornis as it is one of the most iconic species from the Eocene, and their unique diet despite appearance would make for interesting displays in parks (in my personal opinion at least).
Which Camel u want to see in Prehistoric Kingdom
Personally i want to see Camelops Hesternus and Aepycamelus
Camelops is all I need
There’s like a single Homotherium bone from La Brea
La Brea is also a dig site in game so it would make sense to expand on the animals there.
Glyptotherium, Shasta Ground Sloth etc
Palaeoloxdon
mhm
Homotherium would still be a good addition
I think we have enough cats for now but would be good later down the line I think
Isnt there also that mummified Homotherium cub?
Wouldn't that be more bones than usual?
At least for a young one?
bring my man theri into the game
Pachystrutio Dmaninensis is needed for Struthio Race for Prehistoric Kingdom
EZ why do you keep capitalizing the second word in species names
In binomial nomenclature, the species name (Second word in the binomial) is never capitalised.
Therefore it would be written: Pachystruthio dmaninensis.
could have just said that species name are not capitalized
Well actually according to proper scientific literature it would also be italicized, so it would be Pachystruthio dmaninensis, but as long as you're not writing a paper and it's clear what animal you're referring to it's not the biggest issue either way tbh.
Aepyornis is needed just like Moa??
Sauropods I'd like to see for PK
- Agustinia
- Diplodocus
- Magyarosaurus
- Mamenchisaurus
- Shunosaurus
- Wintonotitan
Diplodocus is very based, but very accurate choice
So my picks are Nigersaurus, Diplodocus, Dreadnoughtus, Mamenchisaurus, Shunosaurus, Magyarosaurus
Europasaurus would be nice too since it’s a dwarf Sauropod from the Jurassic
amargasaurus
Tyrannosaurus mcraeensis XD
Protoceratops hellenikorhinus would be a nice alt species for Protoceratops. Easily distinguishable from P. andrewsi with its larger nose horn and slightly different frill shape.
I can barely find this thing anywhere it’s Megaloceros obscurus this species really needs to be brought back from obscurity and I just want a giant deer exhibit
Stag-moose superior
Tyrannosaurus regina and make it’s only skin pink…
But only on Wednesdays
These 3 should be added
Eh i could see one of them as an alt to kentro
But besides that quite unnecessary imo
Remember jwe
Dacentrurus
They are very unique compared to kentro, also great shaximiao rep
I'm not saying we should get 3, but one wouldn't hurt definitely
Gigantspino's the most logical pick here but i've always been partial to Tuo
Wendiceratops when?
JWE flashbacks
Dinosaur fans being alergic to Thyreophorans but fans of any step within Ceratopsid anagenetic series lol
Anyway, not a single one of those is a StegosaurID; Tuojiango is at times but tends to be found to be a huayangosaurid
in fact what
We gotta have some members from Huayangosauridae and Dacentrurinae to complete the Stegosaur roster for PK
Yeah it would be kinda lame to only get stego
Especially since we have all of this Thyreophoran diversity
Though seeing this Ankylosaurids would prolly get more members in
I really wanna see smaller members in though, like Jakapil and Stegouros
And Kunburrasaurus
Stegouros just barely fits into the habitat category
Jakapil however
A terrarium creature at best
Jakapil is also pretty much a made up animal
Potentially Dacentrurus (Miragaia) can have Kentro as an alt.
Then again the former has that neck.
C'mon, Styracosaurus as a Triceratops alt
Seriously, stegosaurs are more diverse in body shape than ceratopsids or hadrosaurs, yet dinosaur fans only care about Stegosaurus and "a second one"
I’d want Dacentrurus (If Miragaia is a synonym), Kentrosaurus, and Gigantspinosaurus.
It has been 15 years of back and forth, and the same seems to be happening with Allo europaeus; looks like academic beef more than anything
Huayangosaurus and Giantspinosaurus are around that
Chunkingo has the issue of, well, having the exact same plate shape as much larger and coeval Tuojiangosaurus, which is funny; wouldn't rule out potential synonymity
Small 1-star stego
2 star
They are
We stegos from “small lil porcupine” to “legally known as a sauropod”
small dude
Stegosaurids
This is basically a glorified sauropod
ngl I’d like them all more stego rep is good
But I’d prefer gigantospino
is that a plausible neck posture for Miragaia?
Necks have a range of motion, specially long ones
It may be a juvenile of the 7 meter long animal with the same plate shape from the same area (that also has 2 other stegosaurs or so)
Forgot, Tuojang, right?
Its between huayango gigantspino and tuojiango
Either of the 3 is cool, but gigantspino my fav
I’d prefer gigantospino and huayango
Yep
alt then
I see the similarities
Ontogeny then?
The issue with Huayango is that Tuojiango and Gigantspino kinda get its niche, but more interestingly
Tuojiango may be able to face a Yangchuano
I believe chungkingosaurus is like a partial leg and hip and some plates
Not the craziest on it, but ig as an alt can work
Gigantspino is about the same size, and has small plates as well, but then full shoulder action
Perhaps they’re in different habitats?
Its game niche I mean
Ah, my bad
Still
I kinda want Matt to do a lil overview of the Shaximiao formation in the paleobotany guide
Huayango is I guess smaller 4 meters for a stegosaur and I think has a club.
Since in my head I kinda see Shaximiao as a subtropical to warm-temperate forest landscape
Shaximiao could get its own dlc tbh
Maybe a Jurassic asia dlc I could see them in.
Yang mamenchi shuno any of the stegosaurs
Theres also a temnospondyl
The rest is cool, but I doubt most people would care since they aren't all that particular
True
The Shaximiao formation is basically the Morrison formation but Chinese
Same biodiversity hotspot
No club, most vanilla stegosaur pretty much
Like a jurassic chinese dlc with mostly shaximiao dinosaurs with maybe monolopho and guanlong
ahhh makes sense
Gigantspino is the same size and has spikes as wings
Chunkingo/Tuojiango get to 6-7 meters and may have extra thagomizer spikes
I kinda forgot but
I heard they also found Stegosaurs in Russia but idk how true those claims are
Was about to say limusaurus too, but that could work well as an alt for elaphro
yes
Limu isn't Shaximiao but yes please
Seeing Bahariyasaurus may be just a giant elaphrosaur, and that's getting even more solid...
maybe with limu/elaphro and giraffo alt
Bahariya as the third alt lol
he was replying to my jurassic dlc idea
which maybe can go past asia
and just be a jurassic dlc
I feel like the Jurassic ought to be split into several DLCs seeing as every continent has good diversity
though it could just be jurassic asia and a jurassic gondwana dlc could have african, south american and maybe even cryo.
I thought of putting all the cut species in a north american dinosaur pack.
Jurassic Africa and Jurassic SA have big enough rosters to have their own DLC
like sauro, thesc, tenonto, nothro all are north american
there would need to be a headliner though
North American Cretaceous pack even, if possible
yes
Sauroposeidon or Albertosaurus
Perhaps even Deinon seeing as there’s no Tenonto without a Deinon
I only see Nothro getting replaced again
With perhaps Falcarius
bs, keep nothro
I’d keep nothro as it feels like a dlc animal to too me
though falcarius would be cool for a pack
Perhaps a compromise of 2 therizinosaurs for the K NA pack?
I’d say the cut 4 animals + deinon(though I see it being base game) + falc and maybe drypto
Nothro as a resurrection, and Falc as the cooler Daniel?
cory alt
I see nothro having far greater chance to come back since it can easily reuse theri rig compared to falcarius
more theri rep would be nice so both are a cool
nothro can use a theri rig if theri is added so would be easier and falcarius can be a cool fun species.
If game does well I think 3 theris isn't that much of a stretch
hesitate on drypto but it kind of is unique despite being frag and would be appalachia rep. Also leaping laelaps animation
Anyway therizinosaurus is reconstructed after one skull and nothro/alxa body
Beipiaosaurus is also cool but I prefer those 3
If they ever add drypto I want an animation based on this
Would be peak
I'm satisfied with a statue too
nanuq alt for this hypothetical pack. 💀
I’d say more like this for a K NA
Pack:
4 cut species
+
Sauroposeidon
+
Alberto/Gorgo
+
Deinon
+
Corythosaurus intermedius/casuarius
+
Falcarius
+
Assorted KNA terrarium species
Done, take my 35 dollars, devs
but nanuq as alt for who
possibly rex I guess it could work
this is good
Yknow Ornithomimus could go here too
But that could be the free update addition
We’ve waited 8 months before
Ya and we all know how it ended up
I see this pack happening loooong after launch ofcs
So plenty of content to mess around with by then
Smaller packs more often better imo
Especially on the paleobotany scene
It is the far future and this is probably if pk does good enough
But smaller is better
generally
Not saying they can’t do those, I see em switching it up a lot
Only that aquatic and flying stuff should be bigger
I’d say 4-7 species in a pack like planet zoo should be what they for average packs
Though pk could add more with alts
ngl
Like carboniferous pack featuring arthropleura, meganeura, pulmiono and mazothairos + few plants
Ngl you could do more if Carboniferous pack then just bugs maybe an amphibian or tully.
like it could be like animal pack pz type. But 9 animals is stretching it ignoring alts.
it would be less time consuming doing smaller packs and probably higher quality
Carboniferous could come with banger scenery pieces. Like wall set based on lepidodendron wood or coal
that could change also there list of post early access species included alts
of mammuthus.
I would mention paleobotany but I’d get carried away
They haven’t confirmed that
A recently extinct pack with recently extinct plants. 🔥
I mean, would kinda work, but the best known recently extinct plant would be the St Helena olive
Or the Toromiro tree
Or in any case
Most Easter island/Mauritius plants
Seeing as most of those went extinct due to settlers
There’s a plant suggestion thread
3Tons of Cenozoic content would Fit in game+ 1,5T of Cenozoic Reptiles+0,8T of Cenozoic birds
Alectrosaur-adjacent animals are incredibly cool and would work neatly if Iren Dabasu/Bayanshiree biota is visited in a post-release content pack
Ngl because of the way the head is tilted i thought that was rugops for a second
Add Nanotyrannus but only if this is one skin, the other is bright Pink, and the other lime Green.
Would truly be a beast to behold
(by the way in advance just in case the paper is right i am deeply sorry Nanotyrannus)
Fire Beast is good mammal?
Yeah
It's funny
It will give fire in game
Yeah
Ofc
Prolibytherium deserves it's place in Prehistoric Kingdom??
Do you have anything else to do?
Just finished adding dinos to park
I mean this is one of those recomendations that are actually good
It’s less the suggestion but how he does and at what frequency
the cum-beast
Suminia lizard monkey
Fax
As long as it looks like this and not the naked monkey thing its often depicted as
I feel like polls would be good, like there's a lot of suggestions but im curious like whats the most wanted additions to the game
Good news, Regalius made a big poll a while's back, the results should hopefully be out sometime soon
some pterosaurs….
I wish we could get some terrarium species
So we could make at least simple pterosaur aviary
Some cats besides very popular ones like Smilo and Panthera
Dinofelis
Amphimachairodus
Megantereon
Homotherium
minmi instead fr
After that cats are DONE
Minmi IS Kunburra lol
Kunburra has more remains
Some that used to be assigned to Minmi
So the two are potentially synonymous
Big emphasis on potentially
However
Some Parankylosaurs would be pretty neat
I don't see them get too much rep
Australovenator when?
Australovenator who?
Australovenator why?
Australovenator where?
Viatkogorgon, would make a great Paleozoic Semi Aquatic Terrarium animal
A wukongopterid would be really cool as an arboreal terrarium animal
That's gotta be the ugliest Kunpengo I've ever seen
Half of the other drawings looked worse
I really like small bird-like dinos so I really hope we can do a lot more with the terrarium, because the little birdy guys alone steal my heart
I also adore spino and the raptors as much
Australovenator what?
Australovenator who?
.
your line was australovenator how
sheen, it's the 10th time you say Viaktogorgon would make a great paleozoic semi-acquatic terrarium animal to the class
the campeign continues
Pocket sized Stupendemys is good addition
is stupendemys all you think about
wtf even is "pocket sized Stupendemys"?
A normal turtle
Hmm downsized Stupendemys by many times
For me ofc
Dacentrurus
One animal I hope to never see is Moschops
Terrarium pterosaurs have so much potential
Why is that?
I show you Anurognatus, Peteinosaurus, Rhamphorynchus (classic)
Rhampho might be too big
There is smaller species, but not really popular
Now i move to big ones
Murdoc Niccals, Niccalocryptus murdocii
rhamph should be smallest full not going to lie
Hatzegopteryx, Quetz, Thanatosdrakon, Cryodrakon, Alanqa
I agree rhampho is way too big for terrarium
Especially if you want to go with the upper size estimates or give it a dearc alt or something
Even then, the average is like almost 2 meters of wingspan, so basically gannet sized
Well idk if average
But they could definitely reach those sizes
adult rhamph are big enough for full roaming if flyers can be full
FUCKED up animal
rhamp has weird tooth ontogeny
Id like to see a Dearc alt for Ramphorynchus
for pterosaurs i pick Pteranodon, Nyctosaurus, Rhamphorynchus, Dsungaripterus, Quetzalcoatlus (lawsoni and northropi), Tupandactylus (navigans and imperator) Anhanguera Zhejiangopterus Anurognathus Jeholopterus and Tropeognathus
no hatz??
I would want a Wukongopterid
Thallasodromeus for true dangerous pterosaur experience
the prehistoric animals i would like to see in this game p1:

Guys when we piscivore baryonyx in game then Mourasuchus a piscivore croc would also be nice addition
holycoprion,that´s a heck of a list
you tell me
I see it now. You like species with decent remains?
Zhejiangopterus is very specific request
it has decent remains and it is a nice size
I dont excpect them to add everyone but they would be cool and a nice addition
If ”Dracula” is described by the time pk starts adding flyers and is it’s own thing or hatz. I hope we get it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKm_ARCbVUU

Become a Memb...
though it is fragmentary as well
Do we need plio pleistocene african mammals in game
Dinofelis, Ancylotherium, Sivatherium
Hipopotamus Gorgops, Megantereon, Agriotherium, Rusingoryx, Deinotherium, Stegotetrabelodon,Notochoerus,Metridiochoerus
Syncerus Antiqqus, Pelorovis
Half a Ton of good picks
Feel like we cant have too many saber toothed cats or bisons imo
I would pick the most unusual ones
Leaellynasaura should be in the Boreal biome, has there been a reason given why it isn't?
- No, we have no official reason
- This isn't really the place to ask
Where would be a better place to make suggestions about already-implemented taxa?
Either creating a new feedback post or #pk-discussion
Sorry about that, I'm still getting a handle on what should go where
All good
added a few more
I take best cats ofc, Dinofelis is Underrated rly
Yea problem is most of them look to similar in appearance
If animal is neat, no one cares about how is similar to other animal, Dinofelis would be perfect kitty for Savanna
Africa was magnificent place in Plio -Pleistocene
Hippo Gorgops, Stegotetrabelodon, Deinotherium, Megantereon, Rusingoryx, Syncerus Antiqqus and Pelorovis
Just to feel savanna be more Alive
Yeah
Wich is mainly why i didnt pick them in my list
Is it confirmed that we will be getting paleozoic animals?
Giant Walrus he was
Maybe but idk 100%
Lepictedium would be funny in Prehistoric Kingdom
Why would they give us cenozoic animals
Yea
Cenozoic is Hella Underrated totally
Yea
Ik
I like the cenozoic and paleozoic way more than the mesozoic
Mesozoic too overrated
Procoptodon fighting Security in it's exhibit
Epic
Stegotetrabelodon is Neat Elephant
Inostrancevia fighting a utahraptor
On pair with Deinotherium
Aepycamelus is needed in game with Camelops Hesternus
Yea
Indohyus (first whale but their ancestor)
Giant squids like endoceras, parapuzosia, tusoteuthis, cameroceras would be so peak
It would givw the game more life
Isotelus rex too
Ok
Bro is dry
Wonder if Syndyoceras, Synthetoceras , Kyptoceras be in game
Ptychodus is Devonian I believe.
Huh.
Must’ve confused it with Ptyctodus.
Ptyctodus is an extinct armour-plated fish of the late Devonian. Ptyctodus belongs to the family Ptyctodontidae and is of the class Placodermi. They share a close resemblance to modern day chimaeras (Holocephali). Fossils of this armour-plated fish have been found in locations such as in Russia, the Michigan Basis, and Arizona, United States.
There’s an h, lol.
Yea
ok but can we have frieren in the game too?
yes
tiktaalik, update 16
and dimetrodon is probably coming after ea
Yes finally someone else who appreciates Ptyctodus and Ptychodus
Purussaurus brasiliensis. the biggest alligator of history🇧🇷
Mourasuchus a piscivore crocodile is needed in game
I added that one in my list too
Stomatosuchus eh
Too similar to mourasuchus
Tbh
quagmire looking ahh crocodillian
And this is mourasuchus. look pretty similar, right?
Biggest difference is ofc the size
Mourasuchus was a caiman
I love when animals evolve throat pouches
Pelicans
yes
They should still add stomatosuchus tho
Pelican true form
Did he have full stomach?
Wdym
Job application when
Where did dinos go when they are sold in game?
they're butchered and used for meat feeders 💯
Meatloaf Paracera eaten them
That's why a single guest has 500 burgers in his pocket
ok
ok
ok
ok
they turned into dino nuggies
or throat sacs in general
^ hit like if you would want to squeeze it
👍
like
time to list my favorite dinosaurs
ahem
Number 1: Utahraptor-Number 2:Allosaurus fragilis-Number 3:Carnotaurus-Number 4:Carcharodnotsaurus-Number 5:Giganotosaurus-Number 6:Tyrranosaurus Rex-Number 7:Lambeosaurus-Number 8:Ceratosaurus-Number 9:Yutyrannus and finally Number 10:Acrocanthosaurus
you might call me basic for mostly liking carnivores but hey this is my personal opinion and list
very basic
but
everyone has their own opinions
so its okay
not even bc their mostly carnivores but js becouse their the most well known ones
i am shocked not seeing spino
Why suggest stuff that’s already in/confirmed for the game?
what? no i was listing my favorite dinosaurs
someone told me this is the place to do it so i did
well i could tell that by the title of this channel
either way not your fault
welp too bad all those i listed are already in game or confirmed
ik
welp if i might suggest,deinonychus
or thecodontosaurus
the only reason i want theco is cus his footprints were found in my homeland serbia
aswell as theropod and dromaeo indents and sauropod indent and...
paronchodon?
paronychodon
small ahh
eh
