I'll add to this: in game right now everything becomes shiny when it rains, including animals. If animals became snow covered when it snowed it would be so cool.

Basically because plants were easily edited horizontally and vertically, meaning the dev need remaking all of those plants
And that only one problem, building also fully edited, meaning the game need to detect every items with y axis to put the snow on top
TLDR it's almost impossible
