I know sometimes pets just bug out and are not attacking even though they are not set to passive. Wanted to know how to check this.

I don't play cata, but if your pet has a basic attack (for example my bear on retail/dw has claw, or a warlock imp has firebolt) you can make a simple weakaura (my test was text weakaura) spell > cd/charges/count trigger for that basic attack, show on always (and in load only load in combat).

Then in the condition tab have 1 condition
Since ready = xyz number (I put it at 2.5 for testing), and have it make a sound or in my example make it put a text on the screen that my pet isn't attacking.
