#Dynamic Group Stacking Order

I have a dynamic group of icons that overlap and fan upwards. The stacking order pre 5.9.0 was determined by the order in the group list with the bottom icon to the forefront and layering backwards as you go up the list. When 5.9.0 was released an icon in the middle is now in the forefront and I cannot figure out how to control the layering. How can I control the layering of the icons in 5.9.0 as they were up to 5.8.7 as shown in the attached image?
