Whenever I try to use the "fade in" animation (doesn't matter if preset or custom w/ variable settings),
the fully opaque icon, progress bar, whathaveyou, appears and disappears for a split second and then AFTER this the proper fade in animation passes, making everything feel incredibly unsmooth and choppy.
I've had my auras behave like this for what feels like an eternity and begrudgingly, at some point, worked around this by just not using fade ins. But recently I've been working on a couple of auras where I really need/want a smooth fade in and this issue has me ripping my hair out.
Things I tried to troubleshoot so far:

I logged in on a char I haven't played in a long time, disabled ALL addons except for all the weakauras modules and I created a brand new icon aura for testing purposes. Issue persists.

Logged in on a starter edition account to try with a complete set of fresh Weakauras savedvariables (So I didn't have to mess with those in my mainaccount folder) and voilá, issue does not occur.
So I have absolutely no clue about coding and whatnot but could this maybe have something to do with an overly large set of Auras? I'm currently sitting at around ~1600 auras with a ~14mb Weakauras.lua filesize, if this matters at all.
I'd really appreciate any and all help so I can finally go back to having smooth transitions.
