I dont know if its anything explorable, because its shadow if that makes sense? Maybe silver one day, but the characters come from a different planet, theres already established lore there. And in the film shadow specifically unlike the others arrived from an unknown location in a vessel reference his dad from the games.

I think simular to the game counter part, he is meant to be seperate and different given how his arrival in these parts is kinda out of step with the others.

But i dunno thats speculation for the future i guess

I think film amy might be the uh, information hub for hedgehog lore? We have only seen very little of her but she seems knowledgeable

Amy - Trained to protect the world, divided between her compassion and love for others and the rules and laws she was told and how she can defy them
Shadow - with clarity of mind, but still not knowing where he came from, possibly feeling this relatable feeling over the whole conflict of being a monster that nobody understands

Companies have style guides down to the hexcodes about what color to use, how these characters look , how they are posed because there is a image that they want to give off. The world isn't gonna explode , but its very important to them, it is infact serious. And while yes the film is cool, i don't think they are gonna change shadow's forms color to match the films. They have a vision for the character, ian flynn will tell you they have a very specifc vision for the character

I'm not saying movie shadow is lame, i'm just saying I do not see sega changing that. They are stingy about shadow's stuff

Of course the entire vibe of the film isn’t gonna shift, and whether you like it or not is different, but I do think they commit to sincerity when it counts

We knew, as viewers, that Sonic would get the Emerald from Wade because there is no way He would be able to protect it of Sonic

(I still like how Wade was commited to do so, what a chad)

Plus it contrasts both characters very well like You Say.

Sonic being focused on his wrath and Revenge desires while Wade was simply happy playing hockey, he has everything he needs and there is nothing that burdens him anymore

A funny joke if You didn't watch the Knuckles series and a great display of Wade's growth if You did, both with the function of contrasting with the current mindset Sonic has
