Think of it as this from a story perspective. If this a whole “future” thing, Amy and Silver might both be from it but have different ideologies. Amy finds Sonic thinking he’s the one to save the future, while Silver wants to find Sonic because he’s the one that destroys it (Metal Sonic). You take the Iblis Trigger plot and make it 10x more simple

Okay so I watched the movie yesterday, my thoughts now that I can think about it:

||I think Shadow and Eggman were the real heroes, but Sonic also had a "right" arc this time, and I liked him despite not being too much of a fan of his movie version, I kinda wanted Tom dead but I think there is enough tension and sacrifice in the film, so I'm okay with the Wachowskis not being divided, as much as I wanted Sonic to leave Green Hills for some time, I'm okay with the status quo, I liked the team dynamic this time, it felt built gradually, also Tails had enough screentime. Returning to Shadow, I liked Keanu's performance a lot, and also his story although it did feel like a simplified version of SA2, the climax was peak, but I still prefer the game version for some reason, might be because of childhood memories, idk, I still liked the third act A LOT. Now about Eggman, he has the best arc imo, I hope they don't make it pointless by having him return again tbh, this just feels so good, he has closure and redemption, and if Carrey were to return, I hope they stop giving him this ambiguous endings, it's been twice in a row... but if this is his finale, it's a great one||

||and the flashbacks were good, they weren't too heavy or too simple, they weren't intrusive or pointless like some critics said, they felt right and not too long anyway||

Just were gonne use the name as a reference but guessing they realized that would've been a horrible idea because the fanbase would look too far into it or act disrespected when it isn't the exact thing from the games
