While it is a new continuity, I don't see why Rouge would go through all of that since it isn't in her ballpark/character outside of the undercover aspect.

The thing is Krysten as Rouge casting is perfect, the gadgets include shapeshifting obviously, Rouge could have disguised herself as a GUN agent to steal the emeralds, the interview hints that she is a twist character, they will not spoil who she is playing and basically they are hiding any scenes of Rockwell besides her introduction one

But we know she is important, I am not convinced that she is a post credits surprise, she could be a third act spoiler maybe, like Super Sonic in the 2nd movie
