Eeh I guess that's fine in terms of the comic, but imo A) the criticism over her cards in IDW shouldn't have existed since that's actually an important and underrepresented aspect of her character due to religious sensitivity in the US, and by all accounts it should be able to be used, and B) the concern being born from Frontiers had nothing to do with what the IDW comics team were doing, as Sonic Team had already stated in an interview that they opted for new ideas over old ones due to character mods, and the impact they had on them pursuing new ideas for their movesets to differentiate them
I'm ultimately fine with that happening for IDW because it was pushed a little too hard in Frontiers, and it shouldn't become a gimmick in that way imo, but if there were any moments that were discarding of potential use of fortune telling where it makes narrative sense, that's lame

Ig there was also this weird thing with frontiers and feedback and ig people reacted really strongly to make sure this didn't become the only thing + that and the craze over the "ian flynn references"

To my knowledge there weren't any moments of "ooh I wanted to use the cards but now I can't", it's more so there was an internal push from some parts of the company to go all in on the cards cards everywhere cards always and that stopped
I'm pretty sure we can still use the cards, we're just no longer actively being pressured to do so
