ABT is one of the few artists in IDW that has his art style go through different gradual changes

That's a factor, but I do think that ABT has changed in art style or refined it
Early IDW's style for ABT had a sharper style to his he approached stuff. As IDW approached issue 50, ABT started to be more on-model with the model of the games and nowadays it's kinda like a compromise between the two mentioned
