SpiderVerse one was a huge surprise at the time, people at first were on the fence of an animated spider-man movie after the MCU version, But it was surprisingly well made, and won everyone over

Just in terms of the CBM panorama of back then, it didn't get that much money

during 'normal' moments for the movie, it's style is akin to Karasuno's but once the action has to come, it takes that paint-like aesthetic in a similar way to SF6

Still though, the closest style (to me) that's 'distinctly Sonic' enough as a skew on the 3D/2D style is the early Uekawa stuff
