Yeah, As much as I love Disney, This is the only time I rooted against them.
I myself wasn't that much of a Disney Kid. But, considering they are 100 years old and perhaps once the standard of storytelling since the 1920's.....it's hard to not have some respect for that which was the forebearer of the medium.
But things are different. There's blood in the water coming from Disney, and anyone within 600m can smell it.
Plus, Sonic is breaking all kinds of records these days, especially as the first Video Game Movie Franchise to gross over 1 billion in such a short time.

as i said, i do enjoy the movies to some extent, but ultimately the most important things about them is that they are proof enough for segasammy that sonic is now popular enough to allow more budget to the games going forward
