Probably not. If the Knuckles show is anything to consider, the announcer states that they haven’t seen play like that since 50 years ago, the exact time Shadow has been frozen in the pod. Meaning that he probably wasn’t inside the pod his whole life due to the fact that he presumably went bowling.
