Lalo Garza (A Latin American voice actor and director for various series) talked about his first days as actor. He wanted to do the handsome characters and such, the protagonists and what not. However, he was often casted as the strange/ugly/weird type of characters with strange tones. His director of back then said that those roles, the pretty people and what not, are easy in comparison to those that sound strange like this one.
