You can post this in any channel relevant to whatever theme it is. No need for a channel because afaik, lightkits aren't even official lego products.

Worst case it's inactive and it gets removed, I don't see the real issue. The different lego themes seems quite irrelevant for lighting tips, questions etc. I'm not saying there is a massive amount of people who are initially interested but those who are would be spread out amongst all the themes never really interacting with each other. Having a channel for lighting or even power functions in general would allow new people to actually discover it aswell. Seems like a missed opportunity to me.

It's not 100% about activity, it's about sloppiness and keeping the server nice and tidy. If we added every single channel everyone requested, we would have 100+ channels. Adding a channel is the closest thing to immortal life you're going to get with a discord server. If we add it, and it dies (because let's face it, I see absolutely no one talking about lightkits), we'll try removing it and somebody will get upset about it. It's so hard getting channels removed.

I would only support the idea of a new channel being created if we can get 15+ people to actively agree to it in a very short amount of time. Of course, without gerrymandering.

Built my first kits today, kinda hair pulling at times but worth it in the end. Going to try to turn the 2nd nano kit into an infinity gauntlet one tomorrow and if that goes well i might have to dip my toes into some diy to light up the milano ships next. kinda lame i know
