Alright, so here's out thread ๐
Have you tried to setup port forwarding yet at all, or is this a fresh installation?
Port forwarding should alr be enabled for me, I've done sessions with local and outside connections before this week.
Gotcha! Alright, so let's just double check things then.
First up, return to setup in Foundry and go to the Configuration tab. Let's make sure Enable UPnP is disabled
Yup, perfect!
Next let's make sure that port forwarding rule is good.
Post the local network link from within Foundry (that would be one starting with 192.168, or 10, or 172.16 etc) - those are safe to share as they are meaningless outside of your network.
Then post a screenshot of your port forwarding rule.
Yup!
You would need to login to your router and pull up the rule there ๐
Ah.
On a guess your router is likely at http://10.0.0.1
(unless you're using Comcast/xfinity, in which case... they make things fun and you likely have to use their mobile app)
Yeah I'm Xfinity, but that link works. Its allll coming back to me.
Ok; if your router lets you modify port forwarding via the web interface despite being xfinity then awesome! Otherwise... you'll have to go the mobile app
Cool so then I enable the
Most likely what has happened is your router gave your computer a new IP address, and your port forwarding rule needs to get refreshed
Ah crap
Yeeeeah
Do I enable the port that matches the Foundry one?
Yup, port 30000 needs to be a valid service
Cool. I'm gonna testy.
And there needs to be a port forward rule that associates that service with your computer
It works!
๐
I would recommend looking into the app and seeing about setting up a DHCP reservation
That way the router won't change your IP address again in the future
Ah, cool cool. I'll look into that.
Awesome sauce, glad you're up and going! Happy gaming!
