Pulling this into here just so we're not clogging up the channel too much.

#

Do you have the ability to open up files on your file server? Are you hosting on your computer, or something external?

twin helm
#

Oh! Thank you, I am sorry. Also, if I click the StoryTeller Settings to see if I can just manually edit all of them, nothing pops up -- but it did before

#

UnRaid, in a Docker, I can open anything

#

Local NAS

umbral oracle
#

Can you open up the file /vtm5e/module/templates.js and screenshot what lines 70 through 78 look like? That'll either confirm my suspicions or immensely confuse me.

#

Also you say Docker... Hm. Maybe that's part of the issue... But I don't use Docker enough to know a good fix if it is.

// Dice Tray Partials
// 'systems/vtm5e/templates/ui/parts/select-character.hbs',
// 'systems/vtm5e/templates/ui/parts/pool1-select-attribute.hbs',
// 'systems/vtm5e/templates/ui/parts/pool1-select-skill.hbs',
// 'systems/vtm5e/templates/ui/parts/pool1-select-discipline.hbs',
// 'systems/vtm5e/templates/ui/parts/pool2-select-attribute.hbs',
// 'systems/vtm5e/templates/ui/parts/pool2-select-skill.hbs',
// 'systems/vtm5e/templates/ui/parts/pool2-select-discipline.hbs',
// 'systems/vtm5e/templates/ui/parts/pool2-nothing.hbs',

#

And its green

#

(Notepad++)

umbral oracle
#

Okay that's normal. Weird that you were getting that error about not being able to find that file before.

twin helm
#

lol

#

Beats me, honestly.

umbral oracle
#

Can you try a fresh, new world?

twin helm
#

Oh, because I don't have it.

#

(Better shot)

#

I did that, but still the same.

umbral oracle
#

Yeah, that's what it should be looking like

#

The // are commented out code - part of old diceroller that got broken in an update and I haven't been able to fix. But because they're commented out, it means they shouldn't be affecting any rendering or anything.

twin helm
#

But, its referencing it:

#

Ohhh.

#

That makes sense.

umbral oracle
#

Is there a little arrow you can click to expand that error?

twin helm
#

That's the whole thing, where would the arrow be?

umbral oracle
#

Hmm. Strange! it should be right beside the red X.

twin helm
#

Okay, so extra weird, if I log in locally, I'm not seeing the issue.

umbral oracle
#

What browser are you using to log in with when it's not local?

twin helm
#

Same browser

#

Brave, for both

umbral oracle
#

Brave browser... Hm.

#

Let me download it and see if I can replicate this.

twin helm
#

This is at the top, when I log in via my domain

umbral oracle
#

Yeah I think that might be part of the issue. I don't know what that would do to cause that "no such file or directory..." referencing commented out code, though. But maybe separate issues.

#

Were you able to use 4.4.0 just fine, is this just a 4.4.1 issue?

twin helm
#

I hopped from 4.3 to 4.4.1

umbral oracle
#

I see, I see...

twin helm
#

I am really sorry for being such a hassle.

umbral oracle
#

Oh no you're fine. I find it interesting, even if it's insanely confusing.

#

Wait...

#

I might know.

twin helm
#

Did I do something dumb?

umbral oracle
#

No, I did lmfao

#

Let me test

twin helm
#

I am still willing to take the blame!

umbral oracle
#

Hmm. Nevermind, my theory didn't work.

twin helm
#

I am very confused, because its not happening on my 192.168.1.234:3000 (my local). I have it set up in Docker, on UnRaid, then CloudFlare hosts/tunnel/other words I don't understand but pretend this sounds smart

#

Gonna try this on Chrome.

umbral oracle
#

Pffft. Yeah I use host on Forge for simplicity - so any one of those things could be the issue, or it could not be. What extremely confuses me is that somehow, it's trying to reference a file that's commented out - it literally shouldn't be accessible to Foundry - but Foundry is somehow trying to render it and says it doesn't exist...

...On top of your game is somehow using old localization strings.

#

So maybe it's Docker somehow caching an old file or two. Maybe it's Cloudflare.

twin helm
#

Its definitely a me issue.

#

It also works fine on chrome.

#

My guess, Cloudflare is cacheing(sp?) the old file

#

Because, when I went through Chrome, it forced me to validate my Cloudflare security stuff

umbral oracle
#

Yeah that's my best guess too. I don't know how you'd fix that, sadly, but maybe Cloudflare will see the file as "old" and needs to be "re-cached" in under a day.

twin helm
#

That's the weird thing! It's the same exact site! Lol. It could also be Brave. Brave is so stupid. I don't know why I use it.

umbral oracle
#

Maybe!

#

But yeah sorry I couldn't be too much of a help. I really would like to help you solve the issue, but it seems out of my realm of expertise.

twin helm
#

Blargh, I am so sorry. I really hope I did not stress you out.

umbral oracle
#

Oh no you're fineeee, like I said it was interesting to look into.

twin helm
#

It's definitely not you, it's me. I used to think I was computer savvy. Now, I feel... old.

umbral oracle
#

It's never too late to learn new things :P

twin helm
#

I keep telling myself that! But, three traumatic brain injuries, and it's been tough.

umbral oracle
#

Yeeeah, life throws that at you sometimes. Still, if you ever need help with anything - I'm always around! Whether it be general coding stuff or Foundry things.

twin helm
#

You're amazing, thank you so much.

umbral oracle
#

No problem at all!

twin helm
#

I'll let you know if/when it resolves, or if I just end up using Chrome like normal people.

umbral oracle
#

Sounds good! Hope you have a good rest of your day though and when you get things working again let me know if you experience any other issues with the new update.
