You risk transparency, or Privacy and things like that.

There are many ways to deal with it.

1. Force everyone to prove their age.
2. Punish false reports.
3. Make the app only for adults or only for minors.

The problem with 1, is no one wants to do that. If discord were to force everyone to prove their age, they’d be out of business.

The problem with 2, is some reports are genuine, they don’t mean any harm by it, they are just trying to keep things safe. (Tough to say when you can’t prove someone’s intentions.)

The problem with 3, is the platform is made for 13+, so people can meet new people and hang out with their friends and what not. It’s hard to hold that vision when you neglect the population of one or the other.

It’s a tough balance to try and prove false reports, when it comes to this specific issue.

I agree, false reports should be punished, however it’s tough to prove. In the cases where users are baited into saying a number and the message is edited? Clearly your intentions are to get the user temporarily suspended and that should be investigated and the end user who does things like that, should be permanently ban IMO.

But in other cases where there’s not a whole lot to go off of, discords hand is forced to protect minors from predators and it’s also the law.

I've heard o this happening before. Voice changers and discord are not the best of friends, even in the best of times.

I have a friend who uses VCs a lot. What they did was uninstall the VC, uninstall discord, run a regisistry cleaner, and reinstall discord. Have you tried this?

IIRC, the problem is that the VC and Discord are arguing over who 'owns' certain audio functions, thus ensuring both stop working. Since that ownership is defined in the registry, it's important to ensure those changes are removed so that you can re-assign everything from a clean slate.

Apperantly a friend of mine on discord have filed a report on my account. However it isn't his fault since one of his friends did the reporting without his consent and he did state that I wasn't involed in any of the activities that I was reported for and so did I. Try to clearly rewrite that your account was hacked and your email address was changed etc. As written, it is an automatic message, and it could be an error.

Hey, i'm looking for help fixing a discord stream issue, All of my friends streams work fine, but one of my friends stream is super slow when he is streaming his game(It plays in slow motion and then every 20ish seconds it updates and goes slow motion again)

Does anyone know why is this happening or how can I solve it? It's with servers icons & people's avatars including me, I can't even hear the soundpad when I use it or someone else does, I couldn't even download the pic so I had to screenshot it. First; delete C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Discord if there's any, after that launch DiscordSetup.exe as an administrator.
