So a while ago, when I was never to discord, I fell for that one scam where someone fakes being a staff member DMing you, either with an alt account or another person also pretending they reported you for something wrong. So anyways, I literally got far enough to give them my email. (Big bad no no.)
After a while, I noticed this fake Kevin Hanaford did not have the staff badge. I knew right then, I messed up big time. So I went along with the rest of it so that Fakeford would not decide to delete my account. And went to get real discord help.

But I read in one of the channels here that I cannot get my account back after it is compromised by someone. How did I get it back?

Hi, a few weeks ago a discord user I have been speaking for a while claims that they have reported my discord account by mistake and directed me to contact another user claiming said user is from discord support. I got in contact with said user and eventually said users directed me to change email associated with my discord account.

In addition said users led me to using cryptocurrency exchanges such as coinbase and metamask. Now after some thinking I'm suspecting I have been scammed and was wondering if discord support really does direct people into using cryptocurrency exchanges.

Hi, recently someone messaged me claiming this:

"I was hacked last day because of a fake nitro link that I happened to click on discord, the hacker used my account to gift and buy worth almost $362 of discord nitro and boosters, and I thought it was you because you have a similar pfp as the guy who sent the link that hacked me, so I accidentally filed tickets on your accounts for doing illegal purchase/scamming instead of someone else, and support responded on the ticket that your account will be suspended and your IP address will be affected too."

" I already explained everything to discord support and she said that only the person who made the report will receive a notification about this that's why I'm here to inform you about this so that you can appeal before It's too late."

So, I messaged the person who oversaw my apparent account suspension. Immediately, they started asking for my personal information:

"If that's the case kindly please forward the report ticket# of this case and please specify this information for the proof of the real owner of this account.

Not getting an email about my account suspension is extremely suspicious, and I can't help but feel that something is off. Is this standard discord policy, or are my suspicions valid? Any advice would be appreciated.

For the channel that it is meant to be sent to, it shouldn't be through a webhook. If you go into that channel's settings, does it show a followed channel under integrations? Also make sure you are publishing the message in the specific announcements channel else it won't be sent out.
