My Nitro doesn’t expire until next year and nothing has changed in the server so idk why it’s not showing. The server doesn’t even have their Level 1 status/perks anymore.

Short answer, no

Long answer, duplicate the channels. Add 1 of the dupes to server guide, leave the other 1 as normal but now you have 2 identical channels for users who have Show All Channels enabled.

Natively, one of the features of resource channels is to exactly hide the channels in the channel list because they're added to Server Guide. If you don't want the channels to be hidden, you're not required to use Server Guide.

for context, the server is an official verified and partnered server for a game. we had an in-game ad to join the discord via the vanity URL on March 28th, 2023. now we are hemorrhaging members who joined on that specific date. only other common thing among them is that none of them said anything in the server since joining

we checked audit log and there is no record of anyone using prune, there is no record of any bots like dyno doing kicks. there is no record of any moderator or admin kicking either

I have a little permissions problem —
Discord recently updated their require permissions so that everyone needs to have send message, else channels they can view but not send messages in are considered not chattable by everyone.

So everyone has send message perms, but a role above everyone disables that. They can still send their message, but Clyde denies it. Yet, if everyone has send message disabled, they are prohibited from interacting with the chat field, but if send messages is enable for everyone and the role to prohibit is given, the chat field doesn't update with the prohibition notice.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Also, side note: curse Discord for making send messages be required for everyone, because he way i have my guild set up is an auto-role gives send message, and everyone didn't have that until I noticed Discord was complaining to me about it.

Hey all I am the server admin and owner of my discord and all of a sudden I can no longer see multiple categories and any of the channels within. They are completely gone from the channel list on the left sidebar. I can only see the channels that are designated 'default channels'

Created a role for all the members and made sure to turn off invite members. Still members are being added by other members. What am I doing wrong here?

i use non community server to let my server members access extra emojis that do not fit within the main server even with maximum boosting. There are never going to be enough people to make it a community server, nor does it even make sense for it to be a community server atall. Now i will have to keep updating the stupid invite links EVERY FREAKING MONTH just so people can join to get the extra emojis

Oh I agree, and I also very much dislike Discord's push in that direction. It's a subtle and annoying business decision, for the monies.

Because of exactly what I said before. Community Servers have stricter guidelines. So, Discord has more control over their content, under the guise of server owners opting into it. This lets Discord look better to investors because there's less (or at least less obvious) objectionable content on the platform, but they don't have to disenfranchise massive amounts of users like Tumblr did in their mass crackdown an objectionable content.

It's not that I don't want to follow the guidelines. I'm as bland and agreeable as they come in my online presence, lol. It's just that splitting servers into two different classes seems like such a convoluted way to go about this.
