I am not usually into such videos. This one, 12 seconds long, is so funny though that everyone I have showed it to (offline) has at least got a chuckle out of it. A problem arises in that I do not know whom it is that I am even dealing with.

Money I think is as old as language itself, language is a side effect of society and sure we need a playing field that exists which is our environment, just not sure if the pressure comes from the outside in, I believe at some point economic pressure outweighs societal pressure

Linguists, from the basic reading I have done, prioritise/give greater weight to spoken languages. Only going to written words if that is the only option. First, many languages have not had/do not have a written form. Second, many more people speak a language than know to read and write in it. I think you shall find that spoken languages predate written ones by a long period. Money, by its essence, requires some form of recording/record. So it is a form of written language.

Even viewing things purely through this 'prism' of language though. . . . much more to what is recorded/written than money or financial transactions. So society.. in this way too.. is 'bigger' than the economy. In fact I have seen a version of the diagram I posted which has a fourth circle inside the economy: money. I suppose this accounts for there being barter as a form of trade, which continues to this day.

The written language should have more influence than the powers of society, very very very rarely do we see influence and change come for free anymore. It is more or less influenced by economic factors,

It is not a matter of going forwards nor backwards. Take any language spoken today. Snapshot. There exists more people that speak it than can write/read in it. Has always been the case, is the case, shall always be the case. So spoken languages are 'bigger' than written ones.

Well the economy is how we meet our needs and wants as human beings. That does depend on nature, the environment, Earth, the planet, however one wishes to word it. This much is true. Yet running an economy - as important as it is - is only a component of what a society does. A society also has interpersonal relationships. Nothing physical/material... to continue with language... about communication. Not in terms of saying hi to a neighbour or what have you. So, well yeah, a society is kind of 'bigger' than an economy.

In my mind I am not suggesting either. It is more of a scoping exercise i.e. that society is 'bigger' than the economy. That the Earth, with all of its processes and other life-forms is bigger than both.

I am not seeking to nor am I in any way inclined to somehow 'dispense' with the economy. That is just silly. The economy is needed. It is just that the society is bigger. Human beings do not just interact with nature, produce whatever, trade it and consume it. We also do other things. We have fun, communicate with others.
