Game Tips from our Friends at Capcom

If you're diving into Monster Hunter Wilds, here are some tips for you and your fellow Hunters...

• Unlocking Multiplayer: Hunters can hunt together with crossplay for the first time in series history. Multiplayer functions are unlocked early in the game, after slaying the first Chatacabra you encounter and entering your tent.

• Hunter Friends: We recommend becoming Hunter Friends to easily find each other going forward. This is a crossplatform system specific to Monster Hunter Wilds that lets you befriend other players, regardless of whether you’re on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Steam.

• Link Parties: Playing in a Link Party allows you to keep playing with the same group of hunters, even after completing a quest. They also automatically send quest invitations to others in your party when one member starts a quest.

• Environment Link: If you’re looking to play in the same locale and conduct investigations together, try the Environment Link feature. This is ideal when reaching the later stages of the game, where monsters in the environment, and their sweet rewards, can different greatly for each player.

• Hunting Etiquette: Be sure to properly stock up on items and make sure you’ve eaten before the start of the hunt! Most quests have a limited number of times you can faint that are shared between all hunters in the group. We recommend taking Lifepowders to keep the entire group’s health in tip-top shape, which you can get a helpful bundle of by completing the Monster Hunter Wilds Quest on Discord!

ANNOUNCEMENT: Discord x World Reborn Partnership

Hi everyone!

I’m posting on behalf of @sullen seal, Discord's Mental Health Policy Manager. Some of you might remember her from the DCMS Loneliness polls a while back 🙂

We’re excited to announce that Discord has partnered with Wicked Saints on their launch of World Reborn, an interactive mobile game with both in-game and real-world quests. The game is rooted in behavioral science and positive psychology principles, and Discord has worked with them to develop a special in-game training mod that helps players embrace their authentic selves while introducing them to some of our community features and well-being resources.

World Reborn also encourages players to use Discord to chat and connect with others who share the same strengths as them to form friendships, play together, and learn from each other. We’re excited to support this first of its kind game that promotes mental health, fosters healthy relationships, and activates young people to make real-life impact.
