How come survival is only open'd on weekend

I'm just wondering why because I don't think the reason has been brought up to me

When it was getting run throughout the week it lead to a lot of burnout (both for staff & players), plus makes gimmicks feel even more bland

weekends typically more people are also available to play & do stuff
